I'm not sure that was meant as a compliment but I'll take it as one!:rotfl:
At the rate you've been going you should be debt free in about 4 hours shouldn't you? :eek:0 -

It was meant as one.I wish it would only take four hours but it seems to be taking a good bit longer than that and I am having to do two jobs to get there and then I have to start it all over again with my student loan debts.
My sister has offered to speak to a friend to get me some hours doing bar and waitressing work during my holidays if I feel that I desperately need the money and I am in fact so desperate right now that I think I will be doing it even although I am a total liability at both roles. :rotfl:

Don't forget that life is for enjoying though hun. All work and no play makes Ciara a grumpy mare!
How long will it take you to pay off the remainder?0 -

Sadly some of the time it does not even take hard work to make me a grumpy mare because I just am one.I am not sure how long it is going to take to pay it off but I am really hoping to have paid the nasty debt off by the end of June which will be the start of my summer holidays up here but I will just have to wait and see how it goes.
The student loans however are another matter and I have not really even thought about them and how I will handle it but I can plan that tonight while I am supposed to be working. :rotfl:

The great thing is that you have a plan to pay off the student loans. Don't worry about having the conversation about debt with your boyfriend, I think he will see what we see. A determined, independent, young woman, who is a surviver! And i know your next comment will be about knocking yourself, but even so it takes determination and guts and support from others(family and forum) to get you there. You can probably teach him some lessons about finance and don't cringe about showing him - remember you are a DFW nerd!!!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I really just want the student loans out of the way because even although they are deducted from my wages every month they will probably still be doing the deductions by the time that I am receiving my pension.I am nervous about how he will react although not worried in a negative way which will probably make no sense to anybody else at all whatsoever because like I said he is like my sister in that he spends what he thinks is reasonable or what he can afford and no more and really does not care in the slightest about how other people react to this or what they think about it even if it is negative and I am just concerned about how stupid that he will think that I am for borrowing money that I absolutely could not afford in order to bail a compulsive liar out.
I am making myself nervous writing this now and I think that I will probably just tell all tonight so that it is out of the way and in the open because I probably will not be able to focus on anything else until I have. Would it make me a complete coward if I cheated and did it over the phone?

As regards to bailing a compulsive liar out, then i am sure he will understand. Everyone has been in a rocky relationship at one time, we do what we can to help and sometimes get burnt. It says more that you were willing to help and also speaks volumes about him. It also says how you have overcome that and are on a different path now. Have a word with your sis and see what she thinks. Good luckx
Thank you.I have had the afternoon off of work to go to hospital with my sister because my brother in law is away with his work and she was told that she should have somebody with her so she ended up with me.
I took your advice and told her what I was thinking and how I am feeling and asked her what she thought I should do and as usual she gave me a really sensible answer without having to even think about it. I would love to be like that even if it was only for one day just so that I would know how it feels to be so wise and clever but I do not think that that is ever going to happen.:rotfl: She said that really it is a judgement call as to whether I trust him enough to know this kind of personal information and if I do and he is really the man that I think he is then it will all be fine but if he is not then I am far better to find out now than later on. She is insistant though that it is not really a bad secret because the majority of the adult population in this country are currently in debt anyway and so if the worst happened then who would really care anyway?
I have called him and asked him to call in when he finishes work and I am going to just be honest and tell him then because the very worst that might happen is that he may decide that I am a complete idiot that he does not want to be involved with but I hope that this is not the case but it is better to know than live in fear of the possible outcome.

Good luck , as always she has come up with some sage advice and it is so true. Everyone needs a person like her in their lives- well crunch time only if you decide that is. Hi Ciara as Bob (above !) says your sister has given you good advice yet again. Best to find out now how he will react - altho I don't think that your debt now is anything out of the ordinary. Good luck and keeping everything crossed for you X ElNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
