has your sister set up a test for him to pass yet? she sounds very protective of you and it seems like she would set up a series of complex tests before he would be able to go out with you

He was apparently under intense scrutiny for all of the time that he spent with me last friday evening. We actually bumped into my sister and her husband completely by accident where she did that whole innocent social conversation thing that she does where she is actually really finding out lots of things about you and her findings were all positive or so she told me.

he must be ok then if he has her seal of approval...how long before she starts inviting him to a 'family meal'
the first time my mum met my oh (2 weeks after we met) she invited him to her wedding 4 months away..luckily he didnt run for the hills and he did turn up to the wedding!!

Well she did say that he was the most rubbish liar that she had ever met which I think can only be a good thing. The family meals thing is a bit complex in our family because it is basically open house and just about anybody at all that is hungry is welcome whether or not they are family so it is not the kind of house where you ever actually specifically get invited for a meal but if you are there around a meal time then you will get fed if that makes any sense?

i understand that, my mum always tries to feed people up, the thing is she deep frys everything and buys crap processed stuff all the time so we try to eat before we go round!!

Thankfully the only thing that my sister has ever fried I think in her whole life is eggs but everything else is prepared from scratch and is sickeningly healthy which is why I have realised that I have dropped a whole dress size since moving up here despite eating all of the time. I always plan to learn to cook but I just do not think that I have the natural aptitude for it unfortunately.
