You aren't going to get a question and answer scenario about what you are now calling an unrelated issue on a specific thread where you've already talked about storm damage.ring Aviva and ask them a general question.
If I don't get an answer I will reach my own conclusion.
If I worked for a large insurer I would welcome the chance to comment on my company's general policy if I thought that policy was reasonable. Especially if the debate on a specific case, which I would be unable to comment on, may be giving the false impression my company was being unreasonable.
PS I am not "now calling [it] an unrelated issue". I am saying the same now as I did originally. I am asking about their general policy regarding the assessment of storm damage claims.0 -
Its very early on in a forum discussion to be coming to any conclusions..0

Its very helpful all the advice I have received here is unprecedented and I thank you grateful for your replies.. We are now awaiting the full report set out by the builders...
My fathers main concern and my families is to get the house patched up asap... for my uncles sake as its pretty cold right now....
Its interesting talking to a a friend that is also a builder, he says back in the 50's the mortar was a ratio of 6 to 1 .. apparently now he uses 4 to 1 ... so that's why so many homes that are older have to be repointed...0 -
I will be updating more info later on tonight after work and some phone calls guys thanks0
