hello all, thought I would ask on the board. I currenlt manage some staff in my day time job, and i need to get five mobile PAYG mobile phones. The usage will be between 5pm -8pm weekday and local, national and mobile calls will be made. does anyone know where I can get five cheap mobile handsets, and as low call coasts as possible. I tryed T-Mobile direct, but they had problems giving me five phones, dont know why. I also tried orange, but they only deliver to my billing address, which is no good, when i am at work. hope someone can help:money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money:

A lot of networks will be fussy about supplying any more than 2 phones on PAYG since a lot of people buy them subsidised by the network then ship them abroad, making a profit and making the network a loss.
Is getting a business pay monthly contract with 5 users an option? It'll be expensive compared with PAYG (http://businessshop.o2.co.uk/tariffs_index.aspx?term=24&groupid=15 - £115 a month ex VAT) unless you're using the phones a lot (due to the amount of minutes etc that are included).

Just joined this site today and this is my 1st post,so treat me gently. Not sure about the best phone deal, but the best tariff deal that I have seen and just joined is with Mobile World>>15p.pm to UK landlines & mobiles and texts are 7p.Calling overseas rates are good too.0

Kilty, thanks for the response, getting business monthly contracts is not really an option, because the staff only need access to these mobile phones on one or two evenings per week, so much prefer PAYG phones. really shocked to hear criminals buy phones and then send them off, dam!!Trinidad - I have a number of needs. UPTON PARK, a big WELCOME to the message boards, andits a true honour that your first message was in response to my thread, thankyou. Seems like you have a good deal, but since I posted the original thread i have notice ASDA curently offer 16p a minute for the first three minutes, then 8p after, so i need to keep looking.UptonParkMark wrote: »Just joined this site today and this is my 1st post,so treat me gently. Virginmobile have cheaper handsets starting at 19.99 with 2.99 delivery charge. Their call charges are 15p/min (other network charges are however 35p/min). If you have virgin sim already you can get £10 off any handset.
I think you can order 5 from them online, even otherwise you can order them one after one. I have bought over 10 handsets from them over last 2 years.
Virgin delivers are Sat also. May be to another address if you order over phone.
Try CPW for offers on other network.0 -
Why not go into CPW, phones4u etc and ask what is the best they can do, then come back on here and see if MSE'ers can beat it?Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0

If these phones are calling each other a lot, then look at Vodafone Family, then £5 a month on one means all calls between any of them are free. If there are calls to other phones as well, then also look at Stop-the-clock which means only the first 3 minutes of off-peak calls are charged0

Tesco value mobile = 15ppm for any calls and 5p per text
If you spend more than 15 a month on them then tesco extra is 10ppm and 5p per text
I think these are the cheapest but having a magic numbers style thing which sounds better for you to be honest.
Just my thought0
