Thanks. The person seems good. It's just you never know on eBay what is genuine or not!

I use a Nivea for Men face wash each day before I shave. I find that this simple step allows me to get x5 more life out of a razor blade, long after the little moisturizing strip has disappeared. If you think about it, the moisturinzing strip is a lot like the blue line on toothbrush heads.. only put there to shame you in to throwing away and replacing the product!

All genuine Gillette blades have a minimum price they can be sold at. That's why they're so god damned expensive. This policy operates worldwide, therefore any found on ebay are more than likely fakes.

If any of your friends/colleagues are going to the US, you could ask them to buy Gillette blades for you there. They are much cheaper anyway and with the good exchange rate you can save over half easily without them needing to shop around on their hols. They have the same Mach3 Fusion blades etc as here.

I've gone over to the old safety razor with the two sided blade being disposable.

I also have an electric shaver and alternate.

Probably wet shave 2-3 times a week and the blade lasts a month (or more).
  • Blademail are competitive and have options on repeat orders every 4 to 12 weeks.

I found them by googling for Contour Plus as I was finding these harder to come by with shelf space for 3, 4 and even 5 blade razors

If it takes a man a week to walk to walk a fortnight how long does it take a fly with tackity boots on to walk through a barrel of treacle?

I've looked at the 'safety' razors you can buy with the double edged blades. I've considered it but the look of it just terrifies me to think that I could slit my own throat with a slip of the hand...suppose it would make an otherwise boring and repetitive task that bit more 'exciting' :D How have any others found using one of these and how soon do you adapt to the handling of it/frequency of injury!

Hi, I used to use one of those Gillette Mach3 disposable razors and used to get terrible razor burn. I switched to using a double edged safety razor and would never go back! The initial outlay is a bit expensive for the razor/brush/cream, but the blades are so cheap it'll cost you around a tenner for a years worth of blades. I can't recommend this to you enough. There's a great forum at: -

There's loads of videos you can watch as well. With regards to safety there's no need to worry about that you're not going to cut your head off!! :p
  • Poundland, Poundshop or what ever it is called work for me. 30 for £1, only use it once for the face, then give it to girlfriend to use down there.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another, so please feel free to ignore this.
  • So your girlfriends down there is less sensitive than your chin?0_o
