Hey guys, just been reading this thread, so went and looked on boots.com. People on here are saying that the mach 3 and the power one etc take the same blades. Does anyone know if the gillette contour plus blades fit?? they are a lot cheaper, dont know what the difference would be, i buy them for my dad, so i dont use them!!!

Aldi do a great 3 blade razor and the blades are cheap too. Don't remember exact price but it provides a great shave.

My vote goes to the Aldi 3 blades.
I get a month of shaves out of each
  • Amazon are doing Gillette mach 3 blades, pack of 8, for £8.99, at the moment.
`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.

  • Can anyone recommend a good/cheap place to buy Mach 3 blades online (including P&P) Or even a good/genuin eBay seller?

Reading some of these posts I think, good grief!, if only I got a month's use out of a razor blade! I probably go through a disposable blade for the Sensor Excel razor I have every week? I shave every day and have quite hard growth so once the lubrastrip has gone the blade seems to scrape regardless of how much shave cream, etc is applied. Tried some of the supermarket own-brand equivalent of the Gillette's but they were horrendous. Face cut to ribbons and defo not worth the saving.

Any suggestions for a close shave, every day, but reasonably long lasting blades...not asking for much I know. Oh and not extortionately priced either (i.e. £10 for 4 or whatever some of them are just now!)

havnt tried this but someone at work has gone back over to the old style razor blades and old style razor, he reckons he has saved a fortune and gets a better shave using this system, he also reports less razor burn than with the mach 3 (which is what i use), I keep thinking will give it a go but have some worry that I am going to do myself a horrible injury with the blades
