  • How about buying a disposable bic for about 20p, and instead of disposing of it, keep reusing it over and over again. it will save you a fortune.

...or, why not grow a beard - even cheaper.

I took your advice and got the old-fashioned safety razor from boots and I have to say it has excellent experience shaving with it.

It give as close of shave as I would get with Gillette match 3 if not better.

Many thanks for your excellent advice.

    Regards

    Hi,

What about trying the old-fashioned safety razor type ? I recently bought one of these from Boots (3 quid-ish) and the blades are dirt cheap to replace. Shaving is a bit trickier, but when you get used to it, I find it a much better shave.

Try getting one of those old fashioned shave sticks and a shaving brush (or use the foam type shaving cream). Take your time shaving, use short strokes and don't press hard onto the face. Also, wash out the shave head frequently when shaving.

If you can get the hang, it will definetly work out cheaper.

    HTH,

    Keith
  • Aldi do a great 3 blade razor and the blades are cheap too. Don't remember exact price but it provides a great shave.

Costco are doing 2 pack of blades ( 40 in total) for £25.82 - as part of their weekly offers - ends tomorrow though.

Whatever you do don't buy "Male Nation" disposables from Poundland - 30 for £1 - blunt, painful to use = useless.

Couldn't even use them once and throw away. They're that bad.

I bought these by mistake for my husband - he has the Mach 3 Turbo handle. Can anybody tell me whether the Mach 3 blades will fit on the turbo handle - haven't opened the packet yet.

Yes, all Mach 3 blades are the same, just different colours for different models.

Same with the Fusion, 'manual' blades fit the power model no probs, just a different colour, and a few £ cheaper.
