Galaxy S6 Bluetooth question
I've just upgraded my S4 to the S6 and everything is fine except for one small problem.
On the S4 I could set my phone's Blutooth as visible only to paired devices but on the S6 I can't see where to do this. It looks like Bluetooth is either on or off and if it's on then it's visible to all.
Am I missing something, if so could someone tell me how to change the setting, or, have Samsung removed this option from the S6?

Samsung didnt but the Android operating system may have.
Which version are you using?

Thanks for the reply.
I'm using v5.1.1 and already have trusted devices added, in my case both of my cars. However while this allows the cars to connect when I get in and the phone is locked it doesn't stop the phone being visible to other devices when it's unlocked in public places.
On the S4 if someone wanted to Bluetooth something to me I had to make the phone visible even though BT was on.
Not a show stopper but a small bit of privacy, if not security.
I used to scan BT devices to see if my friends were in pubs, it was easier than wading through a crowded bar only to find they'd moved on to the next place. If they were there I'd pick up at least one of their phone's.

Ahhh the days of visible bluetooth devices

I used to have hours of fun sending messages, pictures and video to people, long before they reported it and gave it a name.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I hope you were not on my train years ago, if I wanted to see your penis I would have asked... 'want it' over bluetooth is hardly a way to pick up a lady, esp when you send to the same sex just because the BT name is ominous of a sexual gender, rule one choose a MALE associated name, rule 2 switch BT off when not in use, lesson learned lol.
OP contact Samsung UK http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/
or http://www.samsung.com/uk/info/contactus.htmlSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe

With the latest versions of android there is no option to set Bluetooth to discoverable as such but the operating system takes care of it for you.
If you are in the Bluetooth settings on your phone then the phone is visible, as this is where you would have to be to add a new device and would select the new device you want to pair with anyway. Once you leave the settings page the operating system automatically hides you bluetooth connection and makes it undiscoverable.0
