TOG it does sound like your brother is yet to have that LBM and is happy to just bury his head in the sand. Took my husband ages, he's now DF before me! (Well I was before him before I prattled about again!) those who kind of are aware but don't want yo face but are defensive about it are those who need to face it but you know that, we all do.
Couldn't agree more. Congrats to your husband for being DF. You will be too in no time. You've done it before, you'll do it again, and soon!"There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
Oops! Just been trying to catch up on previous posts here, not even halfway through the pages and I noticed the time. So a quick update and good night with best wishes to all.

It's just me and the kids at home today and tomorrow, DH is off work from Wednesday though. I am going to get some cleaning jobs done today and I also need to work but will probably do that this evening.
DS wants his hair cutting but I am reluctant to take him, I hate the whole sitting and waiting for ever in a barbers thing and also he wants a very specific hair cut but he will expect me to explain and really he should.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning everyone
Not too long now until the big daygetting excited now
Three things I'm grateful for today:
1. My manager is letting me leave a little early today
2. Things some customers say - giving me a giggle (a customer asked a colleague for the way out of the store!!)
3. 2 More days after today until I am off for Xmas
Sending hugs to those that need them

:rotfl:I don't like it either. Bad enough if I have to go. I usually take a picture with me. DS is 4.5 and doesn't like the barber so still rather lets me cut it into a shortish sides and back. Long may it last
Not much to report apart from card fraud . So won't have a card for a few days. Got a text from my bank from a strange number about a transaction. So phoned my bank directly and the text was genuine but someone attempted to use my card details yesterday afternoon. Luckily they were suspicious and blocked it instantly.
Got enough food for a while in anyway and will go to FIL on the 25th.
Still one more day at work and then home alone with the kids most of the next two weeks from Wed  as DH has to work most of it (new job, no holiday entitlement yet apart the bare min = 2 days). But DD nursery will be open so might let her play with her pals once or twice during that time.
Better catch up on all the posts I missed over the weekend.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Ok, now up to date with posts here and don't I feel silly recommending phone/BB savings when some of you already posted on that very subject! Oh well, better said twice than overlooked, I hope.
Really glad I joined this challenge because there is such a supportive and positive atmosphere here. Everybody has their ups and downs and it's nice to see the mutual support and the positive effect it has on posters.
Although I am currently debt-free, after a considerable struggle, I am really struggling to save for things I want to do next year. I am determined to keep with my debit card only (and not get another CC) and spend what I can afford, because this is the way I want to pay for things in future. I know this doesn't work for eveyone, but I had such an awful time when my CC debts overwhelmed me and I don't want to experience that again.
The help, advice, support and examples here have been a great boost to my efforts and self-discipline. In fact, the one thing I really want to do may be achievable next year, rather than in 2017.
Slipped a little on SFD, now 9/15, but should have 3 SFDs guarranteed at end of month, so only 3 more to find!
Grateful for:-
Reliable transport
Making others laugh
Being part of a great team
Keep up the great level of mutual support, turtles!BE HEALTHY, STAY POSITIVE AND PERSEVERE0 -
Today I am grateful for The Worls's Strongest Man on the telly, for getting a booking to see Santa tomorrow, for getting a workout done (may not say the same thing tomorrow...!), for yummy g-f cake, for beautiful fabric that cheers my soul whenever I look at it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all,
No SFD here as had another chiropractor appointment, also had to buy ribbon to tie my wreath up
Had an email from FU today telling me they were charging me exit frees because I moved from one tariff to another, even though their own FAQs said I didn't have to pay one. Called them and had to wait 35 minutes on the phone for the operator to find out that some customers had had the email in error. A second email would have been nice to save me and the many others the time and effort. Luckily I thought I'd be on the phone a while so I cleaned the kitchen whilst waiting
Today I am grateful for:
1.) getting lots done and the effect that has had on my mood
2.) good food
3.) World's Strongest Man on TVLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
