10p items

Strange one....
I'm after a number of items which cost 10p for my DD's Christmas Present.
I've thought of a 10p mix up, a 10p (obviously), a chomp, but can you think of anything else?
I could go to poundland etc and just split whatever packs they have so she has 10p 'worth', but I'd rather they were things that you know are 10p (if you know what I mean).
Any help??
Thanks

Lol I would hope that this is not her main present as she may be slightly miffed at receiving a 10p sweet on xmas day, Didn't think they still did 10p mix ups as I have not seen 1p sweets for a long time so reckon you may get 3-4 at best.
If it is a joke of kinds here then do as you have wrote and split multipacks down.0 -

Our shop does 10p mix up bags, with a little sticker on saying 10p, so ideal.

No it's not a joke, it's a personal thing and I think will be her most treasured present - IF I can get a decent amount of items, but it's proving hard.Go to mysupermarket.co.uk then click on offers then all under £1 and sort by price.

Thank you for that, I could then add a 10p tag I suppose, it's really hard finding things, I've tried goggling but nothing obvious comes up. I think I might have to look in corner shops etc, I know our Morrisons had 10p note pads (just small handbags sized ones) I might find a rubber etc in a 'cheap' stationery shop.....Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
It might be a little late now, but you can find items that go for 10p on ebay from hong kong!:wave:0

Also, you could try charity shops?
Sometimes they have items for 10p, maybe some sample lotions etc:wave:0 -
B&M also sometimes have 10p bargains but I think you have to scour the shelf labels to see if they are 10p0

a little closer to the time....a clemintine and handful of nuts from the fruit and veg section of the supermarket or greengrocers.
Maybe something like a single sprout or other small christmas veg.
A party popper.
A shiny new 10 p...or even 5p 2p and 1p
single pack of tissues
Are there any current try me frees or freebies on the freebie thread...or would that not count as the cost of the item would "officially" be more....there were a few free calenders on there a week or so ago..or look for face book competitions and giveaways...I do something a little similar but not with a 10p limit for my family...but its called the "free presents"...this year I got a couple of mugshot pasta things that will go in our stockings.
on the same lines how about signing up for a few free tea bags or something like that from twynings or emailing tea pigs...again free perfume samples are quite frequently advertised
Tea bags..any good?

You could also try local department stores and beauty counters for sample sized products.....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -

These are fantastic ideas! I love the clementine idea too! Thanks you.
My Dad, my DD's Grandad, sadly has recently died. They had this weird thing between that whenever we visited he gave her some 10ps, it became a running joke between the pair of them. When he died she placed a 10p in his suit pocket - to be a final 10p between the two of them and something very personal to just them.
For Christmas, I just thought it would be nice for her to have a small bag of 10p items, I know I can't replace her Grandad, and didn't want to give lots of 10ps as that was between just them two, but I thought lots of things costing 10p might be a nice touch and I think she'd love it too.
These are all great ideas. Thanks you all so much.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
74Jax I think its a really lovely idea and absolutely proves the point that for a gift to be really special in its thought and meaning cost has nothing to do with it.
I saw a few bits of stationery eg pencil sharpeners and single pencils reduced to 10p in my local Wilco a few days ago so might be somewhere else to have a look.
I hope she loves it.0
