Sorry, alarm bells ringing here. Why would he be looking for a partner in a town he's moving away from. Makes no sense, you'd think he'd wait until he got to his new town to meet someone.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

However I wouldn''t recommend giving away any goodies as a leaving gift. Let him earn it.
What if they aren't compatible in bed? Sex isn't a bargaining chip (or shouldn't be), do whatever you want and enjoy yourself. If you want it to progress, I'd just agree if it is exclusive or not.
I've done long distance - 3000 miles, and it was terrible, I'd never do it again.
But 150 miles? I wouldn't write off a relationship because of it but it likely has higher risk of failure. But nothing ventured...0 -
I would be a bit suspicious of someone who goes looking for dates while applying for jobs elsewhere. Surely if you really want a serious relationship you settle in your new job and then try to meet someone who lives locally?
I started seeing someone I met on line a couple of years ago, he started talking about moving away when we'd been seeing each other a couple of months but when I was upset, he told me not to worry as he'd been thinking about it for years and not doing it. Eventually did it about nine months in. He wasn't sure at first if he'd make the move permanent and was coming back home fairly often. However over time his visits became less frequent and availability for me to visit him was also less and he made it clear he didn't want the responsibility of me moving close to him. In the end I split up with him, I felt like he was constantly holding me at arms length and I wasn't willing to settle for that.
If I had known at the start what I know now, I'd have run for the hills as soon as he started talking about it. I've been living a bit of a half life, not really single, not really in a proper relationship.0 -
Long distance relationships can be hard hard work, but you only need to read lots of the threads on here about the same subject to see they can work out.
I think it's a lot easy today than it once was 'cos we've got things like Skype and can chat for hours every night.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

If you both feel a strong spark, it has to be worth pursuing, surely? 150 miles is, say, 3 hours on the train, maybe less if driving. Have a good chat, find out if he does want to try making a go of it. There are so many techie ways to keep in touch in between visits, too.
I think I would regret it, or always think what might have been, if I didn't even try.
I used to be Starrystarrynight on MSE, before a log in technical glitch!0
