Unfair Default With Vodafone - now being chased by debt collectors
Hello,
A few months ago I closed my contract with Vodafone. There was about three weeks left on the contract and the representative who I spoke to said that I would receive the final bill for that final month.
All fine.
Then a few weeks later I received a bill from Vodafone for £96.13 for 'early termination of contract'. This was obviously incorrect as I had not terminated my contract early. I was expecting instead my normal bill of about £45.
I spoke to Vodafone and explained the situation. They said that they couldn't sort it out then and there because my account was in the cancelled list and the billing team couldn't access it. They said that they would escalate it and I would hear back within two weeks.
Nothing.
Two weeks later I did the same. Phoned Vodafone, sat in a queue for a while. Explained the situation only to be told they couldn't do anything about it as they couldn't access my account. They would escalate the issue and I would hear back in two weeks.
Now rather than hearing anything back I have just received an email from Ardent Credit saying that the my debt has been passed to them.
What should I do? Are they allowed to send bailiffs over to my house? Does this mean now that Vodafone no longer have my bill?
Thanks for your help

They still have your "bill", they decided to let someone else chase the amount by threatening letters. They can still void it.Send an email to eforum.web@help.vodafone.co.uk

Thanks a lot. I have just emailed them and will report back when/if I hear anything.0
