    Morning Campers,
Happy Birthday to DNMS - Sorry to hear you're going down with the lergy - hope you have as nice a day as can be expected, plus a bit nicer just because you deserve it!
Today has been a slower start than usual as have had some papers to read through & inwardly digest before a meeting tonight, but I'm back on list now with a steaming hot coffee in my new robin mug. So here we go:
*Last of the week's laundry done overnight on cheap rate & hanging on heated airer. Had to run it night & day to get the last 2 lots dry but today is not as cold here so not intending to switch it on until bed time to make use of cheaper tariff.
*Defrosted pasta bake for tonight's meal - still busy using up stuff from freezer to make room for festive fare.
*mr f took leftover chicken stew for his packed lunch in his soup mug.
*Updated ebay account & relisted final 2 magazines.
*Tried a few surveys but nothing really doing & I have things I'd rather spend my time on this morning.
*Checked banking to see if energy company rebate & goodwill payment have come yet. Nope! Cannot remember the last time we were down to £7 in our bank account :-O but payday on Fri & at least we know we've got this money coming.
*Cut more lettuce from soggy veggie garden. I'll be glad when we've finished the outdoor ones & can start on my supplies in the far less soggy greenhouse!
*Wrap more gifts (2 done already as couldn't get to my desk).
*Knit more of the hiking socks I'm making mr f for Christmas.
*Downstairs heating off until at least 5pm.
*Make a list of jobs I could usefully do in town tomorrow as I shall have access to the car until mid-afternoon.
*Remind mr f to fetch Christmas box down from loft. Can't find our advent calendar wall hanging so it's bound to have got in with all the tree decs, tinsel, etc. 25th Nov already so shall need to start filling it this week.
OK, that's my bits & pieces for today. Have finished my coffee, let chilly cat in (tho why he couldn't go through his flap is anyone's guess) & I'm now intending to do an hour of gift wrapping.
    Cheers all,
    f xx

  • The special tea towels have arrived in the post just now.

As the reviews on Amazon promised, they are thick, plushy and pretty. They are also larger than normal tea towels.

    They are staying :)

  • Hi everyone :) thank you for starting us off Ziggy :)

DNMS - Happy birthday hope you have a good one :D

Quick question for those of you that use spreadsheets - what is the best way to make one. When I was at school it seemed all my IT lessons were about Excel so I know how to do all my formatting and that but was just wondering if there is anywhere I can get a template or something as interested in doing this so I can show hubby how much he actually spends on carp!!

    Today I will:
    - B from stores
    - Low spend on lunch (forgot to get sandwich out of the freezer last night)
    - Dinner at mums
    - Buy hubby's b/day card, candles and another present
    - Track on MFP
    - Read Martin's email
    - FPL
    - Lucky phone
    - Survey/s

    xx

    Afternoon all :)
    Thanks for the start Ziggy
Happy Birthday DNMS - hope your cold is better soon. I think I am getting one as well!
Grandma day today, so just sneaking on here while GD is asleep - she will be awake shortly for her lunch :)

    Quick list:
Meals from stores - I have taken some crumpets out of the freezer for GD's lunch (she is a bit poorly with yet another cold, and that is one thing, along with cubes of cheese and fruit, that she will always eat - and healthier than biscuits, which she will also always eat :rotfl: ). I will have some of the veggie chilli I made yesterday for dinner. I have also made a rice pudding for afters (and for GD if she will eat some).
Dog walks x 2 (one done)
Heating is on today as I have the little one
Take baby to feed the ducks in the park this afternoon for free entertainment (and the walking will be free exercise for me:))
Not a NSD, as I need to buy a get well card for my aunt, who has just had heart surgery. I will get that while out with GD this afternoon (hope it doesn't rain!)
    Check banks later
Any surveys, FPL etc (this will have to wait till this evening)
Also this evening, label up some items to take to my sales unit tomorrow. I have hidden them in OH's den for now, to keep them out of baby's way as she and the puppy would wreak havoc :rotfl:

Well, not an ambitious day today, but not a very spendy one either :)

Oooh, just paid another 2 x 50ps into my sealed pot. We're opening them on Dec 1st. Mr f has got very competitive over this & my pot needs all the help it can get with a final push this week!
