Credit Card Debt Management

I wonder if you can help me.
I have called my CC company to advise them that I am having difficulty making minimum payments.
They have been really nice so far and said they will put the account on hold for 2 weeks to give me time to organise my finances and get back to them with my income and expenditure at the end of the 2 weeks.
This is with a view of going in to a debt management scenario with them and come up with a plan that works for both parties.
Has anyone had experience with this before? What does that conversation look like? Will they be lenient and work with me to get this sorted?
Hope this makes sense.
Many thanks,
Kriss

Re-post on Debt-Free Wannabe board for a better advice.
Don't expect much lenience from the CC company. They aren't a charity. The "plan that works for both parties" has to be better for them than selling the debt to a debt collecting company.0 -
Fair enough. Thanks for the advice. Would the debt collectors work with me?0
