The full link includes the decryption key already. If you just send the link they need to enter the decryption key separately.

I'm not that familiar with Mega - I just set up an account when Kim Dotcom bounced back from the megaupload takedown to see what the new site looked like.

Thanks Kwikbreaks, at the 3rd attempt got it!! As you say you have to send both links as one string and tell the recipient to 'download through their browser'


Took a while to penetrate the 'grey cells' but got there in the end.
