LW, I like to think we are all good friends here, and as Elona said we share the good and the bad. Please don't think you will bring the thread down, on the contrary perhaps we could lift your spirits a little.
Take care

:hello: Good evening everyone,
Just wanted to pop in and send (((hugs))) and get well wishes to everyone who wants or needs one.
Hester, so sorry to hear about yesterday which should have been a celebration of your MIL's life and not about relative's squabbles. I do hope you and your DH feel less stressed now and things begin to settle down.
LW do hope you feel better and happier soon.
Gers hoping you get well soon.
Well today has not been quite as cold as yesterday, although quite wet and gloomy today. I have been to work which was really busy for a Tuesday.
I haven't done a thing about Christmas yet, and am beginning to feel rather worried, but just don't have any money to spend as yet.
DH will be starting yet another job next week, which will pay a regular wage, so we will be able to budget properly, in fact we now have a budget from December to March, so hope we will begin to pull ahead. I am determined not to be in this situation next year.
This afternoon, I phoned Sky and have managed to get a better deal on our package for the next year and have saved us £132 without losing any of your services.
Over the last month I have also halved our car insurance, car tax and home insurance, so we are heading the the right direction.
Take care everyone, and keep warm x.SPC 11 #4450 -
LW you are missed when you don't post, we all care about you and we all have our S*** days going into weeks and months, but we all know that everyone on this board will let you shout, rant and scream at the world and offer lots of gentle ((((((hugs)))))) xxxxx
Hester............... WELL!!!! It is just appalling to behave like that at a funeral, so disrespectful, but there will be the will reading won't there, so I expect there will be ructions there as well, at least you can take solace in the fact that after that you can just let them dissappear under their rocks, never to be seen again hopefully!
Wealthygirl, We always make a couple of gifts for eachother and hit the charity shops and car boot sales. Have got some good quality stuff at bargain prices before now. Here is hoping that your luck is on the up and that 2016 is kinder than 2015 xx
Oven died on me half way through Sunday dinner:( So I have had to rely on using the halogen cooker, slow cooker, hob and microwave.
I know a man who can, but he can't get here before Saturday, which will give hubby time to clean the ruddy thing at last I have been [STRIKE]nagging[/STRIKE] ;)asking him to do it for ages .
It could have been worse, it could have gone halfway through the Christmas dinner
Kidults decided that they want to get into the festive mood early so they are in the front room watching Arthur Christmas, good film :rotfl::rotfl:
Tree will go up next week, I can't believe it is December a week today  Just MIL and FIL's pressies left to get and I already know what I am getting them. MIL will have her usual garden vouchers and FIL wants some new thermals and braces plus their usual goody hamper filled with their favourite sweets and biscuits, a crossword book each and a lottery ticket.
I am another one with a stinking cold, DH offered to rub my chest with Vick but three's a crowdYes, I have been on the prescription drugs again:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
BFN xxBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Evening everyone
Another late post from me.
Os today kitchen cleaned including the hob. Dw emptied & reloaded. Washing done and hung on airers. Bit of shopping for ds2 cooking tomorrow.
Had to pick ds2 up from school after his revision class. Takes me 40 mins each way, was dark drizzly and busy on trip home on motorway.
Hester - can't believe your BIL & wife's behaviour at MIL funeral. I don't think I could have kept my cool. (((Hugs)))
LW - please keep posting.
Gers- hope you feel better soon.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0 -
Hester and LW.....kind hugs for you both.
Miserable day here, raining all day, meant to do lots of things but got round to very little, dinner was left over ham with cauliflower, broccoli, white sauce and steamed potatoes.....enjoyed it, love cauliflower and white sauce.
Am surprised atnhow many people seem to dislike Nigella.....I find her really entertaining and have made her Christmas cake for the last few years, she and Mary Berry are my favourite tv cooks......bit of a contrast I know but there you are.
Wealthygirl, congratulations on your cost cutting exercises, must do a bit of research tomorrow as my car insurance is due next week.
Csarina....would moving my dying looking orchid into the bathroom possibly help? I murder everyorchid I am given and would like to manage to hang on to one.
TA....good to hear that Mr TA is eating better.
Mossy is fussing to go to bed, he wants me to go with him and I refuse to be bullied by a dog so I will probably stay up later just to win the battle.....what does that say about me?.
Sleep well and stay safe

Meanmarie - I have 2 orchids which live in my bathroom and seem to flourish. I thought one of them I had killed off but it thrived and now flowers in abundance.0
