It certainly looks like BS 6891:2005, and possibly 16th 528-02-04 new 17th 528.3.3 could all come into play, Not surprised neither gas man or sparks picked it up I tend to think age of installation none of above where relevant,,,,0 -

Are you saying it could be an issue if I had a new fuse box fitted? The gas men and electrician came within last 3 years (that we owned the flat). There's not much we can do I think! That's where the gas and electricity come into the flat, and there's just nowhere else to put the meters, etc. It's a cupboard next to front door (indoors).0 -

Rewiring wouldn’t be a problem as it looks as if you would be able to archive distances required etc by moving the board ?
Changing the CU *fuse board keeping in same position it might be achieved by suitable spacing or mechanical or thermal shielding. ?
Off the top of my head its 150mm away without suitable mechanical or thermal shielding electrical its 17th 528.3.3 but there somewhat light on specifics but gas more BS6891-2005 8.16.2 “Separation of installation pipework from other services” are more specific? Installer could also note deviations from regs so not a biggy but would be better to get it done correctly ( although I’d bet many gas and sparks would install without knowing at all )soz but don’t have regs books to hand so someone else maybe be able to give exact distances etc0 -

Thanks, I'll bring this up when we have the kitchen done, which is when the gas and electricity supply would get involved.0
