BT to a debit card

Am I missing something here? To Balance Transfer to a Debit Card which actually means BT to a bank account, you just pay off the balance with a debit card.
usually when one says one has a BT card one means that the BT card will receive a debt and the other card will receive a credit (cash)
so in the context of a BT to a currrent a/c, the BT card ends up with say 3,000 of debt and the current a/c receives 3,000 in cash. This is the exact opposite of paying off a CC with a debit card0
