It sounds like the OP is not wanting to pay the charge his/her council want to remove garden waste and is putting it into his household rubbish bin.

Absolutely correct and I will continue to do so as I have been doing so for many months. I am not going to pay my council for a green bin or going to spend petrol money to deliver to my local tip.

They do the same around here, charge for garden waste.

Had a jobsworth looking in the bin and when confronted hes asked what we did with ours and where is out paper box.
We compost all our garden waste and all the paper and cardboard so i used the box as a planter in the garden.

Recycling at its best eh. He scribbled in his book and moved on.

I said the same though, normally they do not look in the bin so adding your clipping to a black bag wont be noticed.

Please follow the rules and policies of the council....
Though you may not agree or follow the rules - it is meant to help all its fellow citizens collectively. Hence the council has the right to refuse collecting your bins that contains garden waste.

Most councils had a budget squeeze recently. They are finding it hard to fund their waste/recycle operations running in partnership with third-party companies...

My post is just an advice - please take it or leave it but no abuses please.

Then I guess you won't be getting your household rubbish removed.

With the smallest amount of intelligent 'packing', he won't have a problem.

I reckon it will be collected by the dustmen as it has been for the last 12 months without no problems.

Crikey! In oxfordshire we get a rubbish bin, garden bin, food bin and recycling bin.

We do seem to pay a lot of council tax though, so there were a lot of cross people when they released a survey about how much we were willing to pay for garden waste! The facebook consensus was burn it or hide it in the rubbish bin!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Understood. There is nothing stoping you from putting stuffs in dustbin.

Please also understand that councils also got policies and procedures, they are government organization run on tax payers money.
If they find anybody violating it - they have procedures written for the same - they will enforce it. Simple.

Except there is usually very little if any biohazard from broken glass and china, and you can get sharps bins free of charge with your prescription so there really is no excuse for your selfish behaviour
