Halifax Clarity Reward Payment

Hi, I have just had my first statement for my Halifax clarity card. No mention of the £5 reward, Should it be shown on there or will it be the next month? Thanks

    I don't have that card, but from your T&Cs it looks like it will be credited next month...
    you will qualify for a £5 credit to your account in the following month.

    ...providing you've met the eligibility criteria of course.

    Read the statement. If you've qualified, there will be a note somewhere below the list of transactions saying:-

    As you've spent at least £300 on your Clarity Rewards card this month, you've earned your £5 reward. This will be credited to your account next month and you'll see it within your list of transactions.

    I have just had a look at my last two statements (on both I spent over £300) and there is no mention of the above note.

    Nothing on my statements either, but I do get the fiver. :)

    As far as I'm aware in order to get the reward you also need to have a Halifax Reward Current Account (Bank Account) on top of having the Clarity Credit Card ... without it you won't get the reward.

    Source: I have both Halifax Clarity and Halifax Reward Bank Account and I do get both rewards, £5 in the Credit Card account and another £5 in the bank account for having 2 direct debits (Aviva & Post Office) and getting over £750 each month.

    You're mistaken. :) To see the full eligibility, click the link I gave in post #2 above...or read your own copy of the Clarity T&Cs. ;)

    A more authoritative source is the Terms and Conditions. Section 11.

    Well, it says there:

    11.2 - To be eligible for the reward set out in condition 11.1, you must, at the time you enter into this agreement:-

    (a) hold a Halifax current account and pay in £1,000 or more each month;

    So I wasn't wrong.

    I didn't way you were "wrong". I said you were "mistaken".

    Your post had an element of exclusivity about it. You do not "have" to hold a Reward account. ;)

    Plus, you only need to meet the eligibility criteria "at the time you enter into this agreement" (as per your own quote).
