Jobsworth at arcade

The fact that it was 20p is not the issue, it is the fact that this jobsworth upset a 4 year old girl as a consequence of his actions.Gone ... or have I?0

I disagree ... the most important thing is that we are talking about 20p ... if it was that important maybe a parent/guardian could have taken the 2p coins and given them a 20p piece .. or allowed them to play out the 20p in 2ps and given them an extra 20p for the other machine. The fact that it was 20p is not the issue, it is the fact that this jobsworth upset a 4 year old girl as a consequence of his actions.
While I am surprised at the attitude of the cashier .. we are only talking of 20p here ... mentioning that it was a 4 year old girl that got upset has no relevance since it appears that the OP is the one most upset (and no mention of their age or sex has been given .. but I would anticipate that they could have probably handled this quite simply with a roll of the eyes)
Depending on the situation I would consider going further by saying that allowing a child to get upset over something as trivial as this is a very bad example for them to be set. There will be much bigger disappointments in life and if issues are made over handling such a trivial matter then think of how hard things will be when an important issue comes along.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
I didnt have any more change or money thats why we went to the change kiosk as it did occur to me that would be the best place to get change for the machines
As for my daughter getting upset, i would say she was more disapointed TBH by the look on here face, then the guy behind changed to money for us, and she went running to the grabber machine, she did say thank you to the guy first tho.
And no she didnt get upset when she didnt win she just said "ah well" ans shrugged her shoulders in her own cheeky way.0 -
Hold on, this is a Kiosk that changes change for you to use on their machines. The change they changed for you then couldn't be changed back for what was their change i the first place? Did I lose anone there?

Ridiculous, and now it seems 'some' are having a pop at the mother and child for making a fuss
Please do not feed the Trolls!0 -

jobsworths are
i saw a bus driver the other day refuse an oap free travel because it was 20 seconds off 9-30am and 4 passengers later at the same stop allowed others free travel 0 -
What we fail to address on these forums is that sometimes the cashier/customer services bod doesnt actually like the face of a customer and thus becomes a jobsworth/annoying/ refusing to budge / nitpicking.
Some people just have one of those faces or voices.
Heres a thought though..........................
What if the cashier was disgusted with the OP attitude towards taking a 4 year child gambling? ? ? ?
That is the real issue here!0 -
FORGET THAT
Parents taking children gambling & then complaining.
THATS A NEWS HEADLINE0
