    Neither can I, it just looks like bad workmanship or someone that did not know what they were doing.

    1 The jobs already been done and there may be valid aesthetic reasons why its been done the way it has been.
    2. Most finger plates fit around the socket without the need to unscrew it.

    1) each to their own I suppose , but cant think of any myself

    2) yeah the crappy self adhesive ones that fall off

    Can't really see why you would fit finger plates to tiles, sort of pointless really.
