Monday 23 Nov - What small things will you do today?

Hi everyone & thanks for starting the thread La E!
Felt terrible yesterday following my party! Was a great night, a little overwhelming to have most of the people I love dearly all coming together for my party. Not much small things yesterday except I was treated to a roast at my friend's pub and have agreed I'll start doing 2 shifts a week there from tomorrow! Did 2 MS assignments (free pizza and golden arches! Health day yesterday!), was given my cake & left over sandwiches and went through all my lovely presents!
Things for today:
* sort the house out as it's a bomb site!
* check banking
* load of washing. Might put it outside, it won't dry but it might just reduce the time on the heated airer!
* sort out SE cert - OMG Ican't believe I still haven't done this!
* Eat lots of leftovers!
* cut and freeze loads of my birthday cake
* have cut up and froze chocolate banana bread made the other day (too much cake in this house!)
* going to be making christmas cards today with dgd
Ok that's me! Have a great day xDF as at 30/12/16

Hi all
Glad you had a nice time dnm. Its grey and cold here so I have given up on the idea of putting the washing out and have got it over the airer with the dehumidifier going.
As@a shopping delivered. Have gone over budget by £9 but I am not going to loose any sleep about that. Plasterer is coming later to start on the bathroom so there is not a lot of point in doing much cleaning.
Feeling a bit flat today. My boss has grudgingly said that I can have Christmas off work (there is really no need for us both to be in) but it feels like a long way off.0 -
Afternoon all

Thanks for starting the thread La E. I bet they will all be flocking to your yoga class after Christmas
Glad to hear that DNMS and Maria have had a good time
OH is away till the end of the week, so I have planned to do lots of planning / turning out type jobs, as well as the usual
So far today:
Froze remaining bread, as OH is away and I don't eat much of it (though I did have a couple of small end crusts for lunch, to use them up). I have some crackerbread things to use up this week
Froze this week's milk delivery as I forgot to cancel it, and I don't use much of that either
Dog walks x 2 - free exercise
All meals from stores (leftovers for dinner tonight)
NSD
Did an inventory of my pantry (following Foxgloves' inspiration). Oh my, what a lot is in there  No big shops needed for ages! Did preserves, and herbs and spices separately, so now I know what I have. Annoyingly, I found a couple of doubles among the spices
Threw out a pack with a few Vit C tablets in them, dated bb somewhen in 2007
I used to use them in breadmaking, but don't any longer
Went to sales unit to tidy up and add a few items - there were a few spaces
Took a box of unwanted kitchen stuff and odd glasses to the CS
Took some cash to the bank (from one of OH's business sales, which tend to be rather more lucrative than mine :rotfl:)
Postal survey tasks
Found 10p on the pavement - very rare occurrence round here
Paid milk bill
Still to do:
Look for surveys, do FPL (forgot about this till now) Only one for onepoll today (about plughole cleaners, no less :rotfl:), and a prize draw one for Yougov
Light wood burner instead of using heating Done, toasty
Sort out rest of postal survey stuff for this week, as I nearly forgot about the thing that needed to be posted today! Looked, and nothing else till Friday, so this can wait till tomorrow
Freezer lists to do, but this will probably be a job for tomorrow Will do tomorrow
Clean more silver plate for my sales unit - nice and sparkly for this time of the year
Oops and this
Did another sort of the photos though, put some of the loose ones in albums, got rid of a few, together with lots of cardboard mount thingies (all went into the woodburner). All fit into a deed box in the dining room now (along with the deeds
). Found a decent frame that can go into the newly emptied CS box
Discovered that I have enough Christmas cards for this year, bought in the sales last January. Also enough stamps to send them, courtesy of the Postal Survey (boring though it is...)
Boiled kettle for coffee earlier and put rest of the boiled water in a flask, and I have been enjoying coffees from just the one boiling all evening
Hope you all have a nice evening

Evening all

I started the day fine, then got in a bit of a grump by the end of work, but felt way better after I'd been to my friend's exercise class. We talked PT sessions :j and mates rates etc. I'm looking forward to it, and best of all it'll be on a Monday night after her exercise class. Starting next week - no time like the present and it's payday next week.
I just kind of lost the plot at 3pm today - and decided to finish early and come home doing absolutely nothing at all after school.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »
