Morning everyone - just!
Had a good night and a rotten morning. Think I've 'reinfected' myself so I'll be going back to bed soon. Came down, rang a friend and croaked to him about being ill, made a cooked breakfast and now enjoying sitting down for a wee while.
Did anyone else notice during Strictly that Anita Rani snatched her hand away from Tessa Daly when she tried to hold her hand after her dance with Gleb? Anita actually said 'no' very firmly! I've watched it a couple of times now just to make sure, seems most odd.
Yesterday I did two loads of washing - nothing else.
Finished reading Lee Child's 'Personal' yesterday and started on a Tim Weaver book 'Fall from Grace'. That'll keep me busy today. I'm off to be miserable in bed.
It's so nice to hear about MrTA's progress.
Happy rest of Monday everyone.0 -

I am so pleased that your DH is maintaining weight and even putting some on.
Had a busy weekend as Saturday middle dd kept me company and I was cat sitting. Unfortunately cat spent most of the night bouncing around the house and mewing loudly - between that and worrying about finding a house I did not get much sleep. Sunday older dd and husband called for lunch and then drove me to see the house they are buying which I enjoyed.
I have some pork and cider hotpot from yesterday which I can eat tonight and the washing machine and dishwasher are on. Planning on having a fairly lazy day as Tuesday and Wednesday are likely to be busy.

Gers I didn't notice it myself, but my OH says that Anita had hurt her hand/wrist during training and had been wearing a support, but took it off for her performance. Sounds as if Tess Daly went to grab the sore one
Hi to anyone who remembers me, i know I haven't posted on the Daily for ages but I often read along.0 -

:hello::hello:
Just had a phone call from the EA to see how far I had progressed with legal stuff re selling house.
Hoping to view another couple of bungalows later this week. Ironic that this time last year there were several bungalows done up to sell and now everything "needs modernisation""This site is addictive!"

GERS I didn't notice the hand grab either but you jogged my memory about something I once read. Apparently a celeb in a previous series complained about the constant hand holding and hugging that Tess does. I know that's just Tess's way but not everyone is comfortable with it apparently. What applies in Anita's case I don't know. BTW I was chuffed to bits that Anita finally got the marks she deserved on Saturday. IMO she has been undermarked from the start! Thanks ivyleaf - now I remember seeing her bandaged hand on ITT, I had forgotten completely. Never heard about last year TA, so rpthanks for that too. Tess is not my cup of tea at all, I could spoil my watching of SCD if didn't make a conscious effort not to whinge out loud about her!
Been asleep again. Had very weird dreams. I don't normally have dreams / remember dreams. I like not remembering dreams.
Every day since Wednesday has been NSDs. :j0 -
Afternoon all
Have had a lazy day today so far, as am still full of cold, n feeling really really tired:(
I saw Anita pull her hand away, but do think it was because it was sore.I also want her n Gleb to win, n how Yummy did he look on Saturday
Sorted one of my Mum's xmas prezzies yesterday, by buying and fitting her a NOW tv box, that she is thrilled withAlso ordered DD's prezzies from Amazon last night, so am getting there slowly

Good Afternoon everyone, back home after a super weekend with an amazingly good concert, Cookie walked, afternoon cuppa appreciated and dozed off in my armchair!!!! it's good to be home!
Came back to next years booklet of courses being run at the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Sussex and they have some mouth watering things on offer (if you are me!) including Medieval Brewing and Bakling from the brewers yeast barm formed when you make ale, and
Still Room Herbal Cures which I find fascinating. Lots of practical things too, so Peg Loom Rug Making, Bark Basket making, Rush Mat and bag making, Hedgerow Foods and even how to butcher out a whole Deer (not to everyones taste I know!) and working with Nettles for food, fibre to spin and string/cord making, I know I shan't do all of them but some I most certainly will!!!
TA so pleased MrTA is eating well again, keep doing what you're doing 'cos you're BOTH doing it right!!!

Afternoon all,
Very frosty first thing. Had to use my Homebase loyalty card to scrape the car!
Cleaned the house through today. It had got quite messy with everyone being home at the weekend. Picked my friend up after work went for a lovely cream scone and coffee at Dobbies.0 -
Afternoon all
LW I hope you are ok.
Ivyleaf, nice to see you.
Good luck with the house hunting Elona
Mrs LW, hubby & I visited the Weald & Downland Museum and loved it.
I'm posting in between being sick & visiting the loo too many times. I'm suffering from a stress related attack of diverticulitis.
It was MIL's funeral today, and it all went much as expected, BIL2 refused to carry the coffin so one of the grandsons stood in, BIL2's wife completely lost the plot, started swinging her handbag around screaming and swearing & then spat in my face. It seems she objected to me bowing to the coffin, I should have curtseyed it seems.
Don't you just love families!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0
