What a weekend! Granted this weekend Ive only been at W1 but its been crazy! As we are seriously seriously under staffed honestly I think there was a total of 8 folk in the office at anyone given time as a result the managers have been throwing overtime around like coppers into a fountain.
Now I must admit I've not taken any up. I could say that its because OH is now on his summer holidays and I want to spend time with him but honestly Im just getting a little fed up with the place and I think I just need some downtime to recharge my batteries.

No cover is required this week meaning I don't need to my alarm for 4.30 am, its really funny that in my new world that qualifies as a long lie. However this week Im only the early shift meaning for the next 7 days i'll be working W2 as well.

I've been reading loads of threads and the one that caught my eye was PADing and rounding down my spare change and I've decided to give it a bash. So day 1 and the MBNA CC is already £4.57 lighter. It might not be an earth shattering amount but its £4 of interest I'll never need to repay back.

Remember how I told everyone that me and my manager had a love/hate relationship? He loved me but I hated him with a passion (maybe a passion is too much. He just annoyed me. A lot. All the time. Everytime i seen him every minute of the day) *disclaimer he's not a bad guy he's just him Im sure if/when I move teams we'll get on better.
Anywooo its the final quarter and he is requesting I get a total bonus of £465 before tax as he says I've got the best stats in the team *shucks!* as well as that we have been told our wages are increasing meaning every month we are going to be £100 better off :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T
Without bragging unless i go credit card happy (which we all know I've done before) I SHOULD be debt free by 2016! I made a hard choice that going forward if there is overtime available at W1 I need to accommodate that rather than W2. Lots of times they are like oh we need people from 5pm until 7pm and I'm like oh I would but I have W2 - going forward as long as I've worked my minimum shifts at W2 its going to be overtime all the way as it makes sence its the job that earns the most money.

You know who I haven't told you guys about in a while? BIL just when we thought there was a light at the end of the tunnel. He has his flat. He see's FLP everyday. Takes him swimming every Sunday. Well he's gone and lost his $%£*ing mind!
Basically he's getting itchy feet and is getting frustrated that things aren't moving faster as he still isn't allowed FLP overnight and i think in his head the soon as the landlord gave him keys to his flat. SS was going to pull up and say "whoops our bad. Here's your kid" He wants EVERYONE (including his family) its FLP is HIS son and what HE says go.
Want to take FLP to the park? Well you need to call him. Want to get FLP a book? Again you've to call him - again remember FLP doesn't LIVE with his dad.
He's on at MIL and DIL to hand over FLP child allowance (after all he only stays with them and they feed him but its still BIL son) and recently he heard that SS paid someone somewhere £15 per day for fostering someone and in his head he should be getting that as well (couple of facts to remember 1) FLP isn't being fostered he's under guardianship 2) MIL and BIL don't get fostering money as they are the paternal grandparents and 3) even if they did why should BIL get it? Last time i looked this was real life not an episode of Corrie)
Let me tell you a story: FLP was acting up because he was tired and I was like "grab a book and come get cuddles" which he did. BIL then turned around and was like why does he ALWAYS pick that book (it was a book I bought him as i got extra cash) and i was like I dunno I guess he just likes the colours and without a spilt second BIL was like well from now on I decide what he reads in a really nasty tone.
you can't speak to him just now about anything without him biting your head off which is so annoying. What else does he want from us? We've proven we're on his side. We even said we would adopt his kid!

Anyway the FINAL direct debit of the month has been taken (thank god) meaning the C1 card is cleared (again) and I've made a token payment to the MBNA CC!

Wow Megano! Some really positive stuff in your last post.. a bonus AND a pay rise-that's awesome!
You're doing super well with that debt busting. Keep going, you'll be debtfree in no time at all.

BIL does sound a little troubled, hope it isn't affecting FLP too badly...or BIL's chances of seeing FLP.

Having a quick browse through Gumtree (it's like the online car boot Mecca! Except I don't agree with their animal policy. If your giving your away your family pet to 'a good home' for free. Chances are they are going to be used for bait. Except I got a hamster for free and Biscuit had a great little life) ANYWAY I've managed to find ANOTHER cleaning job. 10 hours a week. Monday to Friday. Anytime after 6pm.
Honestly OH is not impressed and it has caused a massive argument between us.
I'm wondering what's going on with W3. She's not texted me to confirm my job starts next Friday. I guess all I can do is wait and see. After all W3 and W4 isn't even confirmed yet. Until I sign my name on the dotted line then there is no point stressing about something that's out my control.
This evening I slept in for W2 (how the hell can you sleep in for something that starts at 6pm!)
Argh I'm just frustrated with everything. Why can't I have patience!

Still no word from W3 or W4 so I'm a little in the dark with what's happening, I might not even get W4 as apparently I need to apply for a disclosure Scotland. I don't want to say no straight away as the job with W3 hasn't been confirmed as starting yet.

Can't wait to go and see Mum back home. We're thinking of taking FLP with us (BIL approval pending) but what's ripping our knitting is EVERYONE (including MIL) seems to think we have a never ending supply of money and hasn't even offered to help us pay his fare (as we would need to take the car) meanwhile BIL is getting more stuff from SS (I love the fact he complains about them but then takes every handout given) he's getting cinema passes, travel passes and leisure passes don't get me wrong all of which will benefit FLP but it's like pay for your own &!?(ing kid. When OH and I moved house where was our handout? If we wanted to join a gym we would need to pay. If we had a kid we would need to pay for nursery so we could both go back to work. Why should he not only get the cake but get the whole contents of the bakery in hand outs because he use to be an addict?
Don't get me wrong it's great for FLP but BIL and ex-gf should never of had him if they can't support him.

Prepare yourself it's going to be a rant.

I texted W3 (if you remember my permenant job was suppose to start on the 15th) on Saturday I got a reply back saying 'jobs not starting until August' and I was like okay cool. The next day I got a text from W3 'go in tomorrow' not a hello, or a hi or a how are you. So I politely text back saying there wasn't enough notice so sorry but no can do.

The following day W4 phones me and offers me the job (hold fire on congratulating me) cleaning a doctor surgery (who just happens to be mine anytime from 6pm until 8am) cool I think I can do that straight after W1 when I'm not doing W2 or after W2 shift. (If I'm finishing W1 at 10 at night that might be a different story)

    <brace yourself>

I heard through the grape vine one of the girls from W3 have been a no show and haven't been turning up for the past 3 days meaning there might be a job opening <this is yet to be confirmed> but OH and pretty much everyone I know is raging at me.

    1) because I haven't told W3 to get on her bike after giving the job before to me
    2) because I applied for W4 and got it meaning some days I'll be working 3 jobs
    3) because if W3 and W4 are offing me 10 hours a week each Monday to Friday I'm thinking of going for it to build up the Florida and house fund. I know it's going to be hard but I also think it's do-able.

OH STILL hasn't asked BIL or MIL to help with FLP travel costs so it looks like the bank of Megano and OH strike again.

Megano, if YOU think you can manage to juggle the jobs, that's what is important... just don't burn yourself out. Perhaps do them all for a short time as a trial to appease the family who are moaning at you..and see how you feel after a month or 2. If it's too much, drop a job, if not, carry on and earn that money - at least till you're out of debt and have a small emergency fund.

The saga continues regarding W3 after missing each other's calls, texts, voicemails and smoke signals we finally have an answer of what's happening <thank you Jesus>
There is two possibilities. If the new floor opens up I will be starting on the 8th August or if that doesn't work out I will be replacing a girl who is set to leave on the 15th. Either way at least we have two possible dates.
However I believe in in 'the bad books' because W3 assumed I would be covering this week whilst I never went in because I was waiting to hear back from them *whoops*
I'm officially starting W4 on Tuesday - so quietly looking forward to that

In other news OH has officially paid of Disney holiday so all we need is to pay for flights and holiday money. I'm going to try and save up £3000 in total.

WOW! I have been MIA for a little while so let me do a quick recap.

W4 unfortually is a no go - basically the doctors didn't feel comfortable with a patient cleaning the offices. So even when my disclosure does come back if i put gold and sparkles on it I still wouldn't be allowed - however there maybe a slight light at the end of the tunnel as the company does other doctor surgery so he's looking if he can "swap" me with another practise. There is no word yet of when that will be but its good there might be an alternative solution.

Ive been doing W3 cover for the past 4 days - today I was kinda raging every time I seen the managers daughter (who got the permanent job before me) she was doing sweet FA and on her phone meanwhile I was cleaning toilets, hoovering, emptying bins but clearly she can get away with it because she's the managers daughter! Why should I be running around like a headless chicken when other people are just cup caking there way along! Anyway the managers other daughter is leaving in two weeks so Ive been assured there will be a job for me - I don't know if she's leaving forever or if she's only away for extended leave whilst her husband is on the rigs either way it would be better than nothing - speaking of which I do need to get my bike back because just now I'm getting a cab each day (as OH is not happy with me walking into town at 4.30am) - kinda annoying as he's flat out said him giving me a lift in the morning is a no go.

OH and I are kinda lost with what to do with BIL - He's basically organising his own pity party parade.
There has been a couple of things with him if you use the "mum" word he gets unreasonably angry (even though FLP hear's it everyday at nursery, when your reading books or watching tv) the other thing is when we said we were taking FLP on holiday back home BIL completed forgot we had the conversation with him about dates and things so when we went to pick up FLP he just gave us all this abuse "from now on everything goes through me" "I get the final say" acting like FLP is some sort of possession and me being me was like we did tell you! Do you want us not to take him? Do you want us to cut the trip short? and that added more fuel to the fire.
Apparently OH and I have done NOTHING for him as we never stuck us to SS about him. (Even though SS said at the time if BIL was anywhere near FLP at the time he would be put into care) *according to BIL thats not the point and it would of been okay as it would have only been for a couple of days* and OH is scum as he charged £20 petrol money to take his girlfriend and FLP to see him in prison every Sunday( never mind oh had to travel from Glasgow> Paisley> Greenock/Kilmarnock > Paisley> Glasgow) *other point to note here is BIL has been out of jail for 18 months) and now BIL doesn't even speak to us when we are all in the same room. He's acting like we are s**t on his shoe. Forgive me if Im wrong but was it not us that spent £180 in ASDA when his girlfriend kicked him out or would give him money when his benefits were messed up? I must have dreamt it. Poor BIL.
Speaking of benefits there seems to be a mix up with FLP tax credits - as he is living with MIL she should be getting the money but HMRC have sent her a letter saying she is not entitled so they are struggling - I suggested to OH maybe we could give them the £50 odd a week to help out but then I thought why the f^^k should we? FLP isn't ours why doesn't his dad put his hand in his pocket and help out now and again? Im not working 3 jobs for the sheer fun and games of it, but I keep forgetting OH and I don't have any problems (to be fair we don't we live a comfortable life but i don't see why we should always have to be the knights there at a moments notice to help out)
Basically BIL is doing my tits right in.

One more day then OH and I are heading to London! We've got tickets to go see two west end shows, do the London eye, do the dungeon its going to be amazing.
Not very MSE of me but then again OH is only going to turn 30 once and its nice for us to blow money on ourselves rather than bailing folk out.

Oh with the rant I forgot to also say that the normal DD's have been taken. £50 to TSB CC and HMRC and a sneaky payment of £60 to OD. BOM said I don't need to pay her £250 back this month and she agrees OH and I should go to London and "make it rain" and paint the town red so as soon as my foot steps off the bus on Monday night I'll go back to my MSE ways but right now I'm in f**k it mode.
I still haven't got ANYTHING for OH's birthday and I feel pretty bad because I know with all the BIL drama I have a funny feeling its only going to be that makes any effort - like OH has said he doesn't want a big deal made but if folk who care about you not push the boat out on your birthday when will they?
OH told me he was a MASSIVE power ranger fan (especially the white one) and he's always wanted the sword - Ive managed to find one but its like £130 part of me is like pfft in your dreams but then the other part is like maybe it will be nice to help 7 year old OH get want he wanted for his Christmas all those years ago
