do you notice the word "fine" used in that statement from the lease Co?

private parking charges are NOT fines , NO PRIVATE company can fine someone

there was a memo sent out from the vehicle lease assoc , to all members clearly telling them what to do.

DO NOT pay the tickets , and reply back with the name/address of the hirer , perhaps this company needs reminding of this?

can anyone link that memo , for the OP to fire back at lease Co. (I cannot link)

  • I have been reading on parking cowboys which explains that a parking charge notice is treated under contractual law which is between the motorist and the parking company therefore the lease company have no direct liability.

According to the wording of the terms and conditions of the lease company, does that cover private parking tickets? Because it's not technically a fine right?
  • Yes pappa golf, it does state motoring offences /Fines on my statement from the lease co.

a parking "fine" as you point out , is not a "MOTORING" offence , it is one of trespass/breach of contract etc , and as such the final outcome would be a civil court , not a magistrates

  • Thank you pappa golf, I just can't believe how ridiculous the charge is for a parking ticket at a hospital.. How can they justify charging people that much!!
