Do you watch people in the gym?

Someone stopped me on the power plate and said 'you have a really great bum'. it was my fault as I was squatting at the time, so my !!! was on full blast.

Nonsense of course, misshapen and lots of cellulite.

However, do you watch people when you go? I know I do, but only to admire their fitness and work on a new goal or to pick up new exercises to add.

I always find it strange people say 'no-one is watching you in the gym', as I'm sure everyone does? even the men?

Although I would never go up to someone and say 'WOW you have a phat !!!'.

LOL.

no but you could look at it that way if you like 'fat' asses. but it just means a nice booty.
  • Yeah, I watch people whenever I'm on a rest period inbetween sets. I'm just being nosey and seeing what others are doing but usually at 4.30am there's not much to nosey at.

No, I find it rather impolite...I wouldn't want someone watching me.

There was some woman on the treadmill next to me noseying at my settings and she said thats cool it measures your insulin levels. I was baffled and asked what she meant and she pointed to the 12% incline level! She thought incline was insulin! I couldn't contain my laughter :rotfl:

Somebody commenting on my body in the gynm would be a pretty sure-fire way to guarantee I never set foot in one again :o

I'd be okay if someone was commenting on my form, settings, or had a proper observation rather than a pervy comment.

  • Sometimes on cooldown I'll have a quick look around, or if I feel someone watching me, but usually I'm focused on what I'm doing. Or on whatever I'm playing on my tablet (video wise) to take my mind off how much I actually hate exercising :o yeah I'm one of those...

she wasn't my type, if I swung that way, but I was bemused she touched me on the arm to stop me and say it. I had a paranoid complex the rest of the workout in all honesty.

I'm often nosy about what people are watching on TV or listening to on the radio and might have a little peer as I go past, especially if they seem to be enjoying it. And if someone is working out particularly hard or if there's a particularly handsome man (I'm only human!) I do notice. But I can't imagine commenting on it :)
