Upgrading BT Broadband to Infinity

Hi Guys,

after finding out this afternoon that our cabinet is now accepting fibre orders I decided to call BT and enquire.

Now BT have told me because I am 2 months into a new contract for standard broadband that the best upgrade deal they can off me is this:

BT Infinity 1 with unlimted usage

first 6 months for £13 per month

from month 7-18 will be £25 per month

Activation fee £39
delivery of router £6.95

I tried to barter but was catagorically told by the lady that they can not alter deals just to suit me!

I was wondering if any of you guys have been in the same boat and managed to strike a better deal.

Thanks

Mark

They have you over a barrel as your only leverage would be to leave . Problem with that is you would need to pay off your contract .

To be honest with you Mark that's a pretty good deal for being in a contract as normally they don't offer a discount for 6 months. Have you tried retentions department to see if they could even knock the hub delivery off or activation?
  • cheers guys, I dont really think I will get anywhere with retentions as my contract is still valid until next september.

I will give them a call again tomorrow evening and see if I can wangle anything extra.

    Shy boys get nowt
