School shirts came up better than I thought though had to bin 2 as there was pen mark that wasn't coming off.
Today was a cheap day, took the dog on a nice long walk. Packed a picnic and a flask of hot chocolate (it's miserable here). So a NSD today :j
Dinner was chicken and chips so nice and easy.
Need to check the food budget money I think we are down to £90 odd pounds to do 3 weeks BUT the freezer is still full to the brim.0 -
Another horrible day here.
Have ran out of fruit so heading out to get some and will get flour and yeast and get the kids making pizza, though not for today as it's the 4thJuly and we are usually with family in the US at this time of year so we will be having burgers tonight.
List has a few other bits and bobs but all needed so no point moaning at having to spend.
Kids pocket money paid for the next 4 weeks DD£60 DS £40. DD is supposed to do much more around the house for the extra money but she is just so lazy, something that is going to change. I use the CB to pay this.0 -
Back from the shops. £18.77 spent and this leaves £70.93 to do 3 weeks
Also spent £6.55 on household things but paid with my card as this is technically not food.
Not much else planned for today, about to have lunch. It's freezing but I have a fleece on rather than pop the heating on as over the last 2 days I have had the tumble dryer and heating on just to get the washing dried. Spent £9.95 in the last 3 days (£6.64 of that on gas) so need to reign it in a bit.0 -
Well today is not as bad yesterday weather wise. Took the dog for a good walk and he is now snoring away lol.
Stopped by FF on the way home, needed Bread, Milk, ham and cheese. DH also wanted coke to have with his jack daniels so £6.02 spent.
Dinner is Lasagne I made the other day and froze so no prep for dinner needed today :j
Heating went on for an house, I've only just realised there is an hour only option on the boiler control so now I will use that as I never normally remember to switch the heating off after an hour.
Right need to check the bank account and see how poor we are :rotfl:0 -
Another miserable day weather wise.
DD off out with a friend and DS is in his room with his xbox and lego so won't hear a peep from him.
DD needed £5 for her eyebrows to be done so I took out £10 to cover this. The remaining £5 is in my purse to go towards my bus fayre for work next week (will need to take out another £10 out before Monday)
I called sky today as our bill is just too high @ £90.90 got bill down to £66.90 so happy with that though DH said we will look again at it in a few months to see if further savings to be made.
1st - 4th July we have used £12.28 in Gas/elec so about £3.07 so a bit higher than last months usage but we had the heating and tumble dryer on a fair bit the last few days.0 -
Weather is a bit better day we even have some sun.
Have done 3 washings and got them out drying so no need to use the tumble dryer.
1st - 6th July energy costs £17.80.
Spent £5.27 on potatoes, bread, chips and hash browns.0 -
I have woken up feeling bad with my fibro just what I don't want as I have agreed to work extra hours next week and the extra hours always leave me feeling rough so I could really do without feeling bad at the start of the week.
Anyway to money will come in handy for our October trip to the wedding. Booked our hotel last night £208. Need to sort flights next.
Yesterday I spent £17 in Asda as needed bits for the house and lunch at work next week.
1st - 7th July energy spends £20.53
£20 petrol also spent yesterday.
Food money is running very low but freezer still bursting, going to spend time today working out a meal plan.0 -
what a busy week. working extra hours was good for the money but I fall behind with everything.
Takeaway was also had on Thursday evening.
We have £2.09 left of our food budget to last another week. The freezer still has plenty of food but you can see it's going down as there is room in it lol
Tonight is chicken casserole and it's in the slow cooker. We have tons of chicken so will make this a few times this week.
Still got lasagne, cottage pie and meatballs so we won't starve.
Gas and Elec usage up to the 13th July is £39.63. DH is n awful one for using the tumble dryer when he is off and I am working to dry things. I do to but I don't switch it on for an hour and walk away. I put it on for 20mins then check if anything is dry and take them out. I also will hang out a washing and keep and eye out for rain. So I think that is why it's a bit higher this month so far. Thankfully there is only 1 day next week where we are both working so I can keep an eye on it the other days.
Not checked the bank account I doubt it will be healthy. Needed dog food and that's about £40 or so.
Right off to double check food list and see if we can get away with only spending £2.09 on food this week (I doubt it)0 -
Dinners we have are:
2 Cottage Pies
3 portions pulled pork
4 portions of meatballs (need to make sauce to go with them)
1 portion meatballs with sauce
2 Lasagne
1 portion spag bal
1 portion of 400g of mince (will turn this into spag bal)
12 portions of chicken breasts.
Have tons of peas, carrots, potatoes, rice and pasta to go with the above.
Also can make macaroni cheese as have plenty of cheese. also have enough ingredients to make soup for every day.
Have bread and baguettes to make lunches and should be enough cereal to do breakfasts.
I have run out of my lime juice that I take but at £1.99 a bottle I will do without this week and just take water.
will need to see when Costco is open in the evening as the first free day I have after pay day will be the Wednesday. Might need to do a very small shop in lidl to tied me over.0 -
I have been paid and been to Costco (though my extra hours aren't through, missed the HR cut off)
So £250 withdrawn and we are down below £100 now to do the rest of the month  but the fridge, freezer is absolutely bursting and there is a ton of food about.
Our debt has just increased by a huge amount as we took the decision to redo the living room. The decision was made after our sofa broke. I had been hopping to make it last till the end of the year and then look at replacing it but it needs replaced. That means we have taken the decision to re do the living room. It does need done but we could have lived with it for a good while.
In gas and elec news we are at £55.94 up till the 21st month.
DH doesn't get paid till the end of next week and hoping his OT will be in.0
