I am a female in my late-fifties and have started to become aware of ageism.
Recently I was referred to as "an old git" in a e-mail message "you are the old git in this conversation!" -
then I was called trendy for using lol..
Do I laugh or cry about this??

Laugh, definitely. One of the upsides of getting older that I've found is that I don't take myself too seriously. A good thing too, since I'm surrounded by people who are much younger than me at work and at home.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)

Oh well, at least someone is still taking some notice of me, for the moment anyway.
Is Old git a term applicable to a male or female?.....0 -
I think of 'old git' as being more applicable to males, but that may just be because I'm referred to as the 'old boiler' where I work :rotfl:Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)
