Morning folks!
Thanks to Candy for starting us off
Slight change of plan last night. We were going to do some advent calendar bits but instead we did OH's budget and changed the gas and elec tariff :money:
Also saved the bread dough, made another batch and chopped up some home grown squashes. Put them into the oven all together so saved putting the oven on twice more :money:
Today we are going on a trip with people from work. It will involve rum.
With that in mind, here's today's list:- B/L from stores - done
- Dinner - whatever people bring
- Nip to shop at lunch time for nibbles and rum - done. Will unpack nibbles bit-by-bit to try and save some back for our Christmas party
- Check online banking and reconcile spreadsheet - done
- Charge phone in work - done
- Take crochet to bunkhouse with me

- Washing out on line for a little bit while it's dry - done
Have a good one all

I listed two items on Facebook sales pages and have made £21 already.
I checked paypal and moved any money to my bank account
I checked my bank account
Later on today:
I'm going to clear out my purse and put large coins in my sealed pot and the rest of the coins in another pot.
I'm going to find at least 3 things i can list on sales pages tonight
I also need to go to Tesco later and buy Christmas cards, some cotton wool pads and a couple of little presentsStarted again 28/01/16

Hi,
Back from the doctor's and the town.
Debt-Free Nillionaire Month 6:
* Spent £6 free vouchers in M&S FoodHall. Loyalty bonus from credit card which I got by spending on the card and paying off all debts 24 hours later. All reduced price items.
* Bought all of OH's stocking fillers from pound shop. We're not big on Decemberfest which is one less thing to think about. Made a note of what I'd bought before wrapping so I don't buy the same thing twice.
* Advertise fridge on Freecycle. It's not shifting on Gumtree and it's in the way in the kitchen.
* Homemade PeriPeri Chicken tonight.
* Went for a run by moonlight tonight.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Afternoon Frugalistas,
Well, it's the first day I've really felt cold. Needless to say the downstairs heating is off until 5pm. Bright sunny morning, but snow showers forecast later & overnight. The way I'm looking at it is that when I know the snow's reached Ziggy, it probably won't be too long before it gets to me!
OK, well Friday's my big cleaning day, really, but still been thinking 'moneysaving':
*Cleaned entire house using minimal products & washable microfibre cloths.
*Changed bed linen which will be going on timer for a cheap overnight wash at some point.
*Bottled my home-made mincemeat into 2 nice recycled sterilized jars.
*Checked online banking to see if rebate & goodwill payment from energy company had arrived. Nope!
*Got everything ready for making the Christmas Pudding tomorrow - using up some leftover ingredients from making the mincemeat.
*Switched off de-humidyfiers & opened windows for a while to get rid of condensation.
*Wrote a new job list for mr f, who requested one this morning as he was going out of the door. I'm not going to pass up on that opportunity!)
*Found my chunky knitted shawl ready for the cold weekend ahead.
*Did some surveys. Have been slacking off these lately, but can hardly believe that this year's survey income to date is now over £300.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch.
*Agreed with mr f that we will open our sealed pots on Dec 1st. His is so heavy that I need both hands to lift it, but I reckon it's nearly all coppers & 5ps. Mine is not nearly as heavy but contains only 50p pieces. I'm sure chucking coins in a pot was never meant to get this competitive.
Still to do this afternoon:
-Put shopping away & update grocery budget. mr f had to call at Sainso's for petrol (it's always cheaper in neighbouring towns than it is in ours) so volunteered to pick up the grocery shopping.
-Finish knitting Christmas Present sock & cast on its little friend.
-Choose 3 photos for enlarging & printing out in town on Sunday. (Fell off list yesterday).
-Research a tiny additional gift I may decide to purchase if only around the £5 mark.
And that, my frugal friends, is my list.
Wishing everyone a good Friday, with special positive vibes being sent to poorly people, stressed people, people waiting to hear about jobs........& not forgetting new knitters.
Cheers,

Oh darn, I lost my last post.. a shortened version as I'm drifting off to sleep..
Evening all. Hope everyone is okay xx
A busy one here - up at the crack of dawn for a planned minor op for DS1, and straight on to a consultant appointment from there also for DS1
Rushed home to get a 2nd hand wardrobe and chest of drawers for DS2. Will need a bit of strengthening at the back but in decent nick and only £20
Next on to pick up a 2nd hand ipod and docking station (with clock) for the kitchen for £35
Rushing next on to pick up a (maahoooosive) clump of day lillies - will see if my folks want some before I plant them up
And lastly on to my folks' for dinner. Am sooo pooped that we are crashing the night here. A night in a proper bed... we've been sleeping on a sofa bed since May
But we have a new bed and matress arriving near Christmas

Hello

Another late check in but at least I don't have to get up at half past six tomorrow if I don't want to (and I really don't want to). It's really cold here tonight. The heating is on, and I'm in bed under the covers and still really cold.
It's been a bit of an up and down day to be honest. I'm pleased that I managed to get on and do some marking - it means that I can enjoy my weekend.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »
