When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending :money:
Yay !! Friday - wide awake so I thought I would start the thread nice and early.
Today I have/will:
- breakfast & lunch from stores
- off out for dinner with a friend - hubby is treating me
- charge my phone from my work pc
- will be getting a free coffee at work (loyalty card)
- half day for me today, so i need to work stupidly hard
- will drive at 50mph to and from work
- will walk into town later - will treat myself to a coffee instead of paying the bus fare
- hope to do 7,000 steps to get bounts points
- getting a bus to meet hubby after work - we are taking one car out tonight and hubster doesn't like my car
- I'll be paying out cash today - no cards (getting back into the swing of cash only)
- i have phoned the restaurant we are going to tonight to ask about corkage etc - £6 on a bottle of spirits - they can whistle.......I'll be on soft drinks
- hoping I get some feedback for the interview.......the new contract starts 1st Jan, and so much to do in the meantime
- need to buy a lottery ticket for tonight
- checked online banking
- check up on my friend - I didn't from her yesterday so just need to make sure all is well
OK, that's enough from me, hugs to those who need them !
Take care,
Candy xxx

            Morning all,
I'm experimenting with a new weekend pattern: did most of the housework and miscellaneous jobs last night so that the 'weekend could be more leisurely. Off for more medical tests soon, absolutely starving, nil by mouth. Have also resolved not to spend all my down time asleep this weekend like I did last week.
 Debt-Free Nillionaire Month 6:
 * Replaced silicone around the edge of the bath using silicone from stores.
 * Housework mostly done using Stardrops and washable cloths.
 * Washed my rucksack I take to work in the machine. Comes up lovely. There was a bit of a soup spillage in it last week and I don't want the fabric to "go off".
 * Planned the weekend and how we'll use our entertainment budget.
 * Filing done for maximum efficiency.
 * RM Surveys done. I'm bored with them but OH loves the vouchers and stamps we get in return.
 * Shop around for DVDs OH would like for Decemberfest.
 Have a good day everyone.

It's interesting that you say that as when my OH was very ill, that's how he described the way he was feeling inside. I really feel for you both.
