It wants to be at least BT v3 standard, anything less doesn't have the bandwidth for full range stereo sound.

OP if you go looking for one, don't believe the specs as presented, go find others that look the same and check the spec on those. Whilst you can get some really good deals with stuff like this, often the manufacturer will have been stretching the truth with the specs.

I the end i opted just to buy a USB stick, not ideal but hope an alternative method comes out one day or another some point. Maybe when lollipop is released, who knows
