This is so weird though in a good way! I can't believe I'm already saving for next year when I don't usually have anything at all.
I have now bought all prezzies and still have over £300 left of this year's Xmas savings. The food / alcohol should be no more than half of that. i've been looking for something to do Boxing day or day after but found nothing local. So in the new year I may bump up the holiday a/c with the balance. Happy days
I know it takes a bit of getting used to and feels weird at first but it's fantastic when you are counting and then spending those pounds.;)Debt Free 1st March 2017

#44, it's no good, think I'm going to have to up my target to £732. I've just finished Christmas shopping and spent way over £700 this year
I do have 2 girls, 3 step children as well as a big family, but if i'm ever going to stop spending on my credit card I have to save!!! Wish me luck, cos I'm going to need it0 -

I know what you mean:eek: The first year I did this challenge, I put away £1 a day but this year I have upped it to £2 (and added a bit extra wherever possible) so ended up with £858

Morning everyone,
Totals updated for everyone who has asked;)
We're doing great so far...who would have thought we would be so organised to be saving for next Christmas before this one has even arrived:p
In the not too distant past, I would have been piling everything on a credit card and worrying about the expense later:eek: These days I budget for everything and get a buzz when I see my savings grow;)
Keep at it everyone, you won't be disappointed come next Chrstmas:cool:
Take care
