Anyone signed-up for Plusnet broadband offer Nov 2015??

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has signed-up for Plusnet's latest broadband offer for £111 for 12months (AFTER £75 cashback) VIA THE LINK on the MSE website?? Only I tried BUT when you arrive at the Plusnet website, the offer is slightly different. As far as I could see the offer doesn't allow you to pay the line rental of £185.88 upfont (£15.49/mth) only £16.99/mth which makes that more expensive.

That is really misleading for the customer. Has anyone applied for this offer over the phone and still got their £75 cashback? Martin Lewis said that the only way to ensure you get you £75 cashback is to apply via the link but it's NOT the same offer.

Thanks,

N

It starts off that way but there should be a section to customise it where you can choose LRS.

To be honest though with an £18 saving over the year I wouldn't bother with LRS and then you can get out of the contract early should they put up the prices.

On the order page after you've entered your existing line details/address click on the Phone dropdown menu and then click on Line Rental Saver
  • Hi Jem16,

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry to be ignorant but what does LRS stand for?

    Thanks,

    N :)
  • Sorry Jem16 no need to reply I know what LRS stands for now lol! Have a good day!
  • We signed up from Sky. Service is a little worse than Sky with the odd drop out about once a week. Phone helpline - waits of fifteen mins are normal.

There seems to be an issue with billing which new joiners need to keep an eye out for. If you sign up to the line rental saver it gets lost and before you know it you are paying quite an expensive line rental. A few people have complained online. Seems to be a software problem.

Once you get through staff are helpful and polite. The router is about the same as the Sky one.
  • What do you know. Half an hour after this post a cheque for £75 dropped through the door.

Nice and quick from them! They messed up my order at the start, sorted over live chat once I got connected (about 30 min wait), just waiting for switch next week.

I signed up on Friday and would like confirmation that the £ 75.00 cashback has tracked (before it's too late to cancel).
Can anyone advise on how I can do this, please?
Plusnet online chat said that I have to do it through MSE; but how?
  • Actually after only a month of awful service we ditched Plusnet and moved back to Sky. forget what I said about 15 min calls on hold half and hour to fory five minutes is the norm. Also expect mistakes in contract and billing with the huge long waits to get through and sort it out.

Apparently they have expanded well beyond their capability to cope.

I signed up to this but have no idea if i am going to get the cash back. Trying to get hold of them is a nightmare. Been a few weeks now since being activated but heard nothing.
