Evening - though it's far from good as the storm has hit the region. My place is taking a battering, again. It's really fierce outside.
I've taken myself and my cold to bed and slept a lot of the afternoon. The TV picture keeps breaking up as the dish must be taking the same battering, it's Freestat. Luckily I've got a pile of books and some recorded programmes to watch too.
I hope that everyone is safe and warm indoors. Thinking about those in campers!0 -
The wind died during the day but has revived now. On way back from course and after course task, bought show gel, some soap and washing up liquid from pound shop, half price loaf of crusty bread from c**p of which I had one slice but whole loaf disappeared during dinner.
The other day I managed not to notice my ear bud things from my phone and they got eaten by the dyson. However, I was in a tizz thinking they were my son's and very relieved when he pointed out that they were mine. I don't use them, not a useful gadget for a person with one sided hearing loss. How I did not notice them on the floor is mysterious though.
I might go to bed very early, the wind keeps waking me up.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Am such a stupid woman! Sitting here having a whinge having just watched 'Long lost family'....I have become addicted to it and always end up in tears, it has no relevance to events in my own life, but seems to grip me as though it did.....crazy old fool!
Gers....sorry to hear of your cold, take it easy and try to stay out of the storms.
Not very cold today, we even had some sun, , knitting this morning, enjoy the chat there, making a crochet hat for Twin 1......Twin 2 has a cquired the one I did for DD4 so cant leave T1 without.....will give it to her tomorrow.
Dinner tonight was cottage pie, I put lots of veg in and it was really nice....not OH's favourite dinner so will give most of lo to DD and put some in freezer for me at some stage.
Really need to get going on cake, pudding and mince pies for the festivities, send some cards too, as havent done so for years.
Hugs to all in need of one...or more.
Elona....dont commit to dormer until you have seen the bungalows being built....a new property is often a better buy as insulation regulations etc are improving all the time, leaving you with very little to do, of course price may also be a consideration which governs what you can buy......house purchase is a nightmare here, not sure how it is in UK.
Brainfog has succeeded the whinge, so will wish everybody a calm and peaceful evening.

Round here they don't seem to be building bungalows and so the option of a new one is not there but I do intend to do a really thorough survey if offer is accepted.
Sign outside our house now says "sold" as does the R*****ove site. It feels exciting and daunting at the same time."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Evening everyone.
Been windy here today, but had a little sunshine.
My dgs has been let home from hospital today, he was admitted for a bad chest infection, glad he is on the mend. DM seems a bit more cheerful today think the grief at losing dsd has hit her since the dark nights have arrived.
Stayed in bed this morning trying to sleep off my cold. Still putting Vicks on my feet before bed.
Os today kitchen cleaned. Downstairs hoovered & shirts ironed for tomorrow. Washing had a good blow on line & is now on the airer.
Judi - I wouldn't be staying in that over winter.
Elona - hope 1 of the bungalows are suitable.
Hester - hope things are not too stressful, try and get some rest.
LW - hope your paws are better. Disgusting re the DLA.
TA - thinking of you both.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0
