  • if you post photos with your info on , the "ipn" will come round and frighten your cat , then you will have to fill in the horrible forms in to complain to "poppla"

alternatively , go back and re read the newbies section and try to understand it.

you may find the list regarding acronyms handy as well

Edit - just a though, her car is pcp, this isn't an issue is it?

Does she have the V5C listed in her name? If not, what does the PCP contract terms say with respect to fines, penalties and charges?

On my 2nd image I may have uploaded the uncropped photo showing her name and the manager of pure gym. Apologies.

... like I said it would just be easier to use the full terms.

I thought the other name was yours, not the manager's. However, The PPCs read these threads, know a PCN was issued for a particular gym, and you post a pic with the driver's name on it. The PPC takes a screen grab and now has proof of the driver's identity, thus throwing a very valuable appeal point down the drain.

The same applies to registration and PCN numbers. In fact it's worse because the PPCs will be able to directly link your vehicle, the precise PCN, and the driver's name in one fell swoop.

That's why you got the response you did about posting too much personal information. A valuable lesson learnt on how these underhand scumpanies behave.

Now, you can see my post count. Many of theses are on this site. How long do you think it would take me to type replies here if I were to use Private Parking Company, Parking Charge Notice, Notice To Keeper, Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency, Parking on Private Land Appeals etcetera as opposed to using the acronyms in the handy post in the NEWBIES thread?
Multiply that by the number of regulars who post on here, and the number of posts per thread that are required, and you see the enormity of the task involved as opposed to saying, there's a list of acronyms in the NEWBIES thread.

  • Thanks for all the helpful and lengthy replies, AFAIK the vehicle is in her name. Will find out for sure.

Yea I can understand about linking all of that, I did think I had omitted her name so that was a mistake as the wrong photo. I then didn't understand what was wrong by posting the other info as it wasn't personal such as reg but if you slip up then it can be linked like you are saying.

I had read the NEWBIES section, 4x now. Like I said, it's a fair amount to take in as different things for different situations and things are constantly changing.

If I'm honest it's took me longer to try read this on my phone than it would have just been to pay it but she has obvious course to appeal the ticket as it was applied unfairly.

I had done some legwork but didn't want to go down the wrong path so figured it was best to be told directly. Thanks though.

No-one said it was easy. but it is hardly rocket science either. If you want to avoid paying you have to jump through the hoops I am afraid. there is no silver bullet..

you need to put more pressure on the gym, will post more later today.
so called debt collection letters area almost always guaranteed, however is only a real debt it's it's been assigned by a court, not a made up figure by a parking company.

You can't read important information on phones. MSE is pretty much unreadable on a phone.
I just don't want my gf to get debt collection letter as I know for a fact she will cave and pay so want to cut this off at the earliest opportunity. To reiterate, I'm waiting for her first appeal reply

She WILL WILL WILL get demands and debt collector letters. Tell her what to expect. Why the heck peopel fold and pay just because gthey get some poxy letters astonishes me. Would she also send money to email scammers if they were persistent?

Agreed more pressure needs to be put on the Gym, again and again until they act to cancel it. They can.

Can I have £100 for this reply?!! :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
