Nps Parking charge notice - gf worried.

My girlfriend joined pure gym and on her induction received a parking charge notice from Northern parking services.

She has sent an appeal but has not had a reply yet.

She also spoke to the pure gym manager and informed them that she was not informed to enter her registration on their system until after she received the fine and now management are refusing to help or comment.

Too much conflicting information online is confusing me.

Take that down now it has too much detail on it and will render her a target.

If this car park belongs to the gym they appointed the parking muppets and of course they can sort it out, but they will be on a rake off too.
Go back and demand they call off their agents and threaten to cancel her membership while she is still in the cooling off period.

You really are confused if you think this is a fine!

Once you have removed your link, (and fisherjim has also) you need to thoroughly read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES.

Meanwhile your GF should go back to the gym and talk to a manager as advised above. It is not a fine, it is an invoice from the contractor employed by the gym. Demand that the parking charge is cancelled as they are the principle in all this. The parking scumpany are acting on the instructions of the gym.

State that she wants this cancelled pronto or she will cancel her membership. (Personally I would cancel anyway once this has been resolved with a strongly worded letter to the owner/CEO explaining why.)

Tw@tter, Fakebook, and Trapadvisor are there to assist you and warn others about the scam taking place at this gym.
A cancellation by the landowner is the best way to resolve this, but read up on how to make a second stage appeal, and find ammunition to support your GF's case to use when she complains.

IPC company so no appeal worth doing. Read the NEWBIES sticky thread near the top of this forum, posts 1 and 3.

Then up the ante with the complaint, of course she wasn't a 'non-patron'.

BTW, the PCN has an illegal £2.10 surcharge for all card payments and an illegal 0844 phone number. Nice one IPC.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks guys, I had read the stickys but wasn't sure which paragraphs applied and constantly read conflicting information or outdated stuff such as to ignore as it's only a parking charge notice or you're fine as long as you don't admit you were the driver but I think my gf may have when she sent her first appeal.

Pure gym are refusing to help.

So after reading reading they are an IPC and if they refuse the appeal then just ignore the letters?

Take that link down, NOW, redact the personal info, then post it up again.

    PPCs read this forum.

It's time to tell the gym to stop telling lies and cancel the PCN. Then cancel your GF's membership telling them why, and post a sh1tstorm of bad publicity on their website, Tw@tter, Fakebook, Trapadvisor, and local press.

    Always send the first appeal.

It's up to you/her whether to make the second stage appeal or not.

Lighters, are you not reading advice on here, because you seem to be stupidly completely ignoring very important instructions at your peril!

I am reading the advice above,i just don't understand what the problem was exactly? What 'personal' details were disclosed that were an issue? I didn't reveal her full name or address so no personal details.

If you could be clearer that would help a lot thanks. I left the hyperlinks there but removed the link from Dropbox so it can no longer be opened. After all I wasn't the one who quoted it if it was a problem.

So what advice am I ignoring? I have followed all the advice you told me. I have re read the stickys and still at the same conclusion.

What is a ppc? Private parking company, would help if you treat me like an idiot please.

It wasn't clear if you were referring to the first link or second in your quote but I didn't see a problem with either.

    So to update.

Awaiting reply from the appeal and pure gym have outright refused to help. Ignored our twitter post.

The link was to an image that had your name and your girlfriend's name on it.

The acronyms are all explained in the NEWBIES thread that you say you have read.

The advice you were ignoring was to remove the image with your names on it.

So the first image had no personal details.

On my 2nd image I may have uploaded the uncropped photo showing her name and the manager of pure gym. Apologies.

I have read the NEWBIES sticky, 3times now. It's just riddled with hyperlinks to other read this read that, ignore this go to this stage etc that's not applicable.

Its all good and we'll reading through something but I'm sure you can appreciate that it's hard to absorb and understand everything immediately, like I said it would just be easier to use the full terms.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being funny, I'm not and I appreciate any help and info.

I just don't want my gf to get debt collection letter as I know for a fact she will cave and pay so want to cut this off at the earliest opportunity. To reiterate, I'm waiting for her first appeal reply. However I fear she may have inadvertently outed herself as the driver, I haven't read her appeal but she stated it was very lengthy and detailed on why it was unfair and should not apply to her, her email also contains her full name etc. She probably also referred to herself as I also.

So far I have gathered. It's unenforceable and just an invoice, appeals are likely to be refused because they are an ipn? There's no poppla process and if/when it gets to being passed to a debt recovery /collection ifs unenforceable and they won't take her to court and nothing will be marked against her?

Please highlight anything incorrect above, thanks.

I still don't get what's wrong posting the reg, ticket numbers location etc. How is it detrimental, how can they use this info? I understand the problem with personal info yes.

Edit - just a though, her car is pcp, this isn't an issue is it?
