  • Afternoon all,

Wet and blowy out there now, this morning was quite bright to start with.

Cleaned the house right through and made some coffee and almond iced buns in between work.

Have been sorting out lots of old pairs of reading glasses that I no longer need, so I will have to remember to take them to the collection point.

Not sure what to do for dinner tonight. Have a good evening all :)
  • Happy Birthday Sistercas, hope you get spoiled rotten :):)

Enjoyed this mornings movie,I has read the Bill Bryson book a couple of years ago,Very entertaining, and beautiful scenery.
Robert Redford bless him, like us all, has aged, but still a good looking old codger :):)partnered with Nick Nolte as well.

Got chatting to a nice lady whilst waiting for the film to start, she had been born in France but brought up in Cairo.I do like interesting people, and my late OH always said if I landed on the moon I would find someone to natter to :):):) I am definitely a 'people person' :):)

Came out to lashing rain and had to nip into the new Asdas to get some UHT milk and nabbed a big bag of reduced carrots for 24p, so carrot and coriander soup will be on the menu this week.Spent a whole 73p :):)but must get a main shop tomorrow.

Quiz night tonight, fingers crossed for our team. Absolutely chucking it down at the moment, and windy as well.

Keep warm and dry if possible
    cheers JackieO xxx

    Sistercas Happy Birthday :bdaycake::bdaycake:

I managed to complete a few legal forms this morning for our house sale and took it to the solicitor's office personally before getting on a bus to York to meet dd. Treated us to a low calorie pizza and salad for lunch and had a haircut and blow dry as I was starting to look "eccentric!"

Another dd is in Lyons for work and we had said how lucky she was not in Paris! Decided best not to tell her of the arms cache found in Lyons.

    Hugs to all

  • Evening everyone

Not been getting chance to post recently due to working lots of hours on new job. Been trying to read each day though.

Think I'm just starting with a cold so will put some vicks on my feet tonight. Had an appointment to see a consultant about my hernia which has now been cancelled and moved to Christmas Eve at 4pm:eek: I would imagine that this appointment will also be cancelled too.

Os not much happening apart from trying to keep on top of the chores now I'm back at work. Unloaded dw & reloaded tonight & washed pans separately.

Day off tomorrow so going to my craft group for a good chinwag, may do some crochet too.

Sistercas- belated birthday greetings, hope you had a lovely day.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

Just looked outside, the trellis has been blown off the fence with my clematis still attached, hope it survives.

    Evening all,

Happy Birthday Sistercas, hope you've had a lovely day.

Today has been a busy one here - lots of running about doing errands. We had left over curried goat for lunch and still have some more for tomorrow before we head off to Spain via my mum's house.

I had a second interview for a job and had the call to say I was successful within two hours - I'm pretty chuffed as my last job was getting pretty horrible and I'm finally getting to use my languages degree. :j

Mr Maity made some amazing pork ribs, we found them reduced in M&S and boiled them before covering them in jerk paste then popping them in the oven with a few things for the freezer.

Hope everyone is okay and safe - the wind seems to be picking up.

  • Good evening everyone,

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday sistercas, hope you have had a lovely day, and enjoy DD's graduation.

Just popped in to say hello, its very windy here tonight, not sure how well we will sleep.

Just the usual today, went to work, picked up DD, went and bought my mum a birthday present for Saturday and then went home. Have spent the evening washing laundry, and had a roast veg lasagne for tea, so nice and easy.

Goodnight all and stay safe x.
