My financial situation is only decilate because littlewoods dropped something on it.

Er... i would call having less than £300 in your bank account a delicate financial situation!! In theory, you should already have a spare £300 to buy an Xbox 360, stick it in an ISA until may 2008, and THEN pay for it... If you having got money in the first place, dont spend it!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • First of all, the reason it didn't bounce was because I had at least 300 in my account. It emptied my account and then all the things I have scheduled to come out were coming out of an empty back account, plowing through my overdraft.

Secondly, i'm 22 and on just above minimum wage, having 300 spare in my account isn't bad.

Finally, BUY NOW PAY MAY 2008.

    Finally,

Glad you have it sorted, besides the fact that people are trying to help you here but your coming back with Snappy comments.

MODS, it seem sorted now so please close this post
  • None of those were actually helpful, I thanked the ones who were helpful.

A few were a weird tangent about removing my card details from the people who've already said they're going to refund it, the others were telling me I shouldn't have bought it - how are they helpful?

It's not over yet, I have an address to write to to try and claim back my back charges, which are the main mounting problem.

They were helpful by pointing out that an Xbox 360 is a luxury product, and not a must have essential item, therefore when you earn minimum wage and only have £300 in your account, it's not the sort of thing you should consider buying, even if you don't have to pay for it until May 2008.

That's how alot of these companies make alot of money. They know that a % of people who think "ooohhhh, I don't have to pay until next year" will actually fail to save that amount of money, so will end up paying in installments at a very high interest rate... I'm not saying you're one of these people, but I'm just pointing out that if that £300 was to cover your bills etc... then I hope you're going to have no problems putting aside the £35 a month to pay next may.

Merely a concerned forum person not wanting people to get into debt, that's all, so don't bite my head off!

  • £35 a month is no problem and what I intended to do, the problem is the part where they took all the money at once and flattened my account and made me incur bank charges, but thanks for your concern.

What along with you bad attitude?
  • To be honest, I stated my problem, asked for advice, thanked the people who gave me good advice, told the other people why is wasn't good advice, then admittedly got pedantic with them as they repeated it over and over.

    Thanks for trying, i guess.
  • Hi all, I also have a real problem now with Littlewoods... Kays to be exact. I'm on the verge of tears with frustration! In July I ordered an LG DVD home theatre kit, which i waited 10 weeks to be delivered (after many calls and much cost). When it arrived it was missing the machine and only had the speakers! I called up again and they agreed to collect it and deliver a complete kit the next week. Somehow in all this hassle I received the full item, pleased as punch, hassled to get back to work, and don't recall (can't find either) receiving the goods returned note.

Basically, they've now charged me twice. I can't afford this and don't feel I should be expected to pay!!! Have called up and was told unless I can find it then basically tough luck. This isn't good enough, surely the driver had to hand over some paperwork when he brought the item back? I also made so many enquiries whilst waiting for the delivery... surely they'll indicate that I returned the darn thing?!

Please help, as I am now on my credit limit with them and really upset at the thought of paying an extra £200+ for something that I don't have...
I'm learning little by little... I'll get there one day!!!
