Actually Classic cat food (produced by Butchers) is one of the better cat foods for the health of the cat - much better for them than whiskas.

I would suggest your experience is the exception rather than the rule. I sent my request off back in June and received the cheque very quickly - I banked it on the 26th June. I know my mother and at least 1 of her friends also took up this offer and got their cheque promptly as well. Just sent them regular post though

It sounds like a complaint that a large company lost a letter but they must have a nefarious operation in place to trick people into sending letters with stamps on. All so they can pay people to spend an inordinate amount of time peeling them off the envelopes to save some money on postage, which for a large company probably doesn't even use stamps.
  • I would presume your stamps got miss placed and that you emailed the wrong place and or it went to the spam folder, They are a large Company and I very much doubt they would not honour the offer if all was received correctly, Try looking up the parent Company and emailing them in a polite manner to request they look at this for you.

It will hardly be a scam so offering a warning against a large Company is slightly misplaced to be fair.

So you're saying you trust all large companies. As the OP has stated VW were not honourable which I think is quite relevant to be fair. Then there are companies like Hoover http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/great-financial-disasters-of-our-time-the-hoover-fiasco-1171711.html which although happened a long time ago were not honourable, then there is Kraft with an aggressive takeover of Cadburys with the promise they would look after the staff to the same degree as the philanthropist Cadbury family and with no redundancies and they were not honourable.

If the OP has been the victim of a large company not honouring their promised promotion I don't think Butchers are honourable to be fair. And to be honest I am surprised that a supposed supporter of consumer rights should take such an unsupportive stance on these boards which are designed to support consumers.

^^ Is a very good point.

2nd class recorded delivery + a 2nd class stamp on the SAE comes to £2.18. AFAIAA Butchers were paying out £3.65 for a claim. Seems a lot of hassle for £1.47.
