Told e-mails undeliverable because of IP address block

It seems I am now with Fleur telecom who have taken over from TalkTalk as my ISP. It may be a coincidence but I am either having messages put into my outbox because 'too many messages have been sent this session' (even when it's been just one!) or lately I am told (code 501...) that my IP address is blocked because it is sending spam. I haven't fully tested it, but it may be happening just when sending to Hotmail addresses.
I have messaged Fleur Telecom and await a response, but is anyone else experiencing the same problems? How does this get resolved?

couple of things could be happening here ..
Either you have malware on your system that is sending out emails as part of a spam botnet.
(run a malwarebytes scan , download from here https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/ )
Or , if you are on a work network (or home work network) you could have an open relay on your mail server.
(see the person who runs your mailserver)
Or, you have been provided with an ip address that has previously been allocated to someone who has been spamming, and it has been added to a blacklist.
(in which case you need to contact your isp and demand a new ip address)

It could also be he's still got the Talktalk smtp servers set in his email client, in which case they're probably not accepting messages to be sent from outside their own IP range (which it will be if he's changed ISP).
One of the most basic anti spam measures is to not accept emails to your smtp servers from outside your own IP range.0 -
Or Fleur Telecom SMTP servers are on a blacklist because one customer has been sending spam. Most likely reasonThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

...and how has this happened, without either:-
1. you specifically going to fleur, or
2. you've been conned into it by people acting on behalf of fleur?
you don't just magically "seem" to find yourself having changed ISP....
edit - unless you were one of the sell-off customers, but you should have had ample warning about that so option 1 applied unless you actively looked for a different isp.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Thanks for ideas. TalkTalk wrote some while ago to say that they would be handing me (and others of course) over to Fleur. Chatter on the web suggests it is a case of dumping rural customers who can only get slow broadband. I am looking around at other ISP options.
I have a home network and am actually a Tiscali customer. I have been for many years and have had my network running for many years without this current problem.0 -

1. get a gmail email address and tell your existing contacts of your new (gmail) address
2. suggest change to either Zen (best quality but slightly higher cost) or Plusnet (BT umbrella but cheaper and possibly easier to talk too.)0 -
