I haven't done mags today, but last night I had a very mixed experience. About 2/3 of the comps just skipped straight to the entry confirmation page, far more quickly than they did even with Adblocker in place! For the remaining third, I had to sit through the videos but they only froze twize (when the page just doesn't do anything) and in both of those instances I just refreshed page and it went straight to entry confirmation. So on the whole it was slightly slower than normal due to having to sit through several videos, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I'll try again tonight and see if it's the same.0

I disabled it in Chrome and it made no difference, however it could be because I'm on a Chromebook not a PC/Laptop.
Thank you for the tip though!0 -
I think the last Adobe flash player update might be causing the issues we've been having with the advert videos. I deactivated the Shockwave plug in, and was amazed how much faster the mag daily pages were loading, and further more I had no problems with the Videos playing, most just skip to the next entered page . other pages that have been causing my browser to freeze are now loading fine too.
Thank you for this. I have disabled Shockwave in IE (could not work out how to do it in Chrome) and have sailed through the daily mags.
Thanks againBe Lucky Everyone0 -
on the PC ( using IE 11)
I've got adblocker disabled & Shockwave flash object disabled,
no vids are showing & it's going straight to the entered & green tick,
also pages are loading very quickly.
Thank you fire*fly this has worked for me. Gave up on the mag dailies yesterday but have just sailed through them.:ABe Lucky Everyone0 -
Thank you to all for being so helpful. I have tried all suggestions here but I still get 'loading video' and then nothing happens. I have even left it for half an hour to see if I was just being impatient. I know a lot of people's issues are that they don't want to watch the video but is anyone else just getting a hanging video? They won't even load for me. I'm just wondering if I have something else going on with my laptop?0

Don't think its your laptop they are not loading for me either on desktop!!!0

I think more people need to email the mags to tell them that the videos are not loading. I emailed everyone and only got one reply back (from Woman' who said they have now removed 'the' video that wasn't loading properly! They don't seen to realise that it isn't just one of their videos but all of their videos that are causing problems.:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0

it's a pain that the videos have started back again, I used to be able to zip through loads in 20 mins. When there were videos before I could start one off, open a new tab for a different daily and start that off etc. By the time I had set off 3 or 4 the first one had finished playing but now if I go to a different tab it just stops playing and forces me to watch.
My solution was to have it in front of me with the sound off while I was doing the ironing! As each video finished I set the next one off and carried on ironing. Not ideal but since I have just won a £550 prize from Marie Claire they are worth doing in my mindPenny0
