Just come across this while googling some water money saving.

99p showerhead, can't really go wrong at that price. Ordered mine.

I got one of these around 6 months ago (same offer from Severn Trent).

It's very good - feels way more 'powerful' than the old one. The water-saving aspect isn't an issue for me as my property isn't (and can't be) metered.

Wasn't it free? I have something similar from maybe two years ago.

I assumed it was some kind of subsidised scheme, and the water companies get fined if they don't give away enough of the things.
