If it were me I'd use your Norton disk as a coaster and download some free applications from the net such as ZoneAlarm, AVG Antivirus free, and Super Antispyware. There is a sticky somewhere with other recommendations.

Assuming you are running XP service pack 2, or Vista you already have a firewall active by default, so there is no need to worry about having no protection, in any case I would imagine that the home hub has a built in firewall itself.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

yes the home hub has a built in firewall, as the others suggest leave Nortons alone , get online by plugging the hub into the phoneline and , if not wireless, plugging the ethernet cable into the back of the PC and hub (nothing from the CD is required !!) and then download the foloowing

    download free AVG antivirus

if on Vista then no additional firewall needed at this time , if XP then

    comodo free

    I love my Norton.

I know lots of people don't but having been on the net 10 years and never had a virus it must be doing something right.
