Seems if you have an android device, you can install Kodi on that and cast it to tv through Chromecast.
Anyone know how reliable this is?
I have Kodi working on Amazon Fire Stick, PC (both Windows and Linux based systems), Raspberry Pi 2, and also on my Android smartphone.
It does not work on the NOW Tv box nor can you cast to a Chromecast stick.
The Amazon Fire stick is the neatest way so far of using the Kodi media system which is why I will be getting more of them in the upcoming online sales.0 -

*awaits answer to your question with baited breath*
you cant stream from kodi to chromecast etc, you may be able to mirror your screen depending on your device, but then the sound / video can lag a bit, and rendering is different to casting directly to the chromecast.
keep the fire tv stick, look in to kodi, but more specifically tvaddons, it'll install the popular addons to get films and tv series etc without all the faff of setting it all up and configuring it yourself.
the bin the chromecast and now tv box because the fire stick will replace the lot.0 -
