Vodafone Friends and Family restricted query

Hello, I'm wondering if someone can help. We have the friends and family package running from DH's monthly contract just to make sure that we can contact the children incase of a problem with their phone contracts which I pay seperately. I am late with this months phone payment to the children's contracts and they currently cannot phone out or use the internet which is fine as I am late paying! But the Friends and Family is paid for upto date separately as we thought this would always allow permanent safe access between the numbers incase of this happening. Have we been wasting money on our extra 'safety' measure

If they are all in one contract they will restrict service to all the phones.

You do realise that if you are struggling to pay your debts your children could contact you with a much cheaper PAYG than an expensive Vodafone contract? If any of the handsets are past their minimum term consider getting the PAC for the number and moving it to PAYG, there are plenty of cheap PAYG options these days, even with calls/data/texts included for heavier users.
