    these have been going around for years although they are normally under the guise of an ill child who is dying and AOL/Microsoft/Hotmail have promised to give 5 cents for evey time the email is forwarded. The technology for tracking emails in this manner doesn't even exist and the first question on anyone's mind should be why would any company set up a sick game where a childs life was dependant on the number of kids who bugged their friends with an email that serves no purpose

  • People who either respond, or forward or even fully read these emails need to have a lobotomy or perhaps sterilisation.

    Exactly the format as actual handwritten chain letters as well which I'm sure have been around for decades if not longer. I got one of those dying kid ones as a snail mail letter with royal mail "tracking every letter you send on and donating" etc. The technology may have changed but the logic and maths hasn't.
