Ha ha, it was the first thing I looked for AND I admit to checking the envelope in case I'd missed any! :rotfl:“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -

Sorry if already posted, don't have time to check - The Fruit Bowl 25g Strawberry Yoghurt Flakes were showing label as 60p but scanned at 45p in my T's yesterday - meaning got 5p back on each pack via COS/CS/TCB (10 claims per app)0

Afternoon all.
I hope dentist visits went ok for pd and dm yesterday? Mine was ok in the end.
My internet gave up the ghost yesterday afternoon/evening, no signal at all, was driving me crazy. Seems ok today, although my computer had restarted so had lost all the tabs I had left open (I have a bad habit of doing that). One of the tabs was the place that accepted make up and toiletries etc that someone put a link to the other day, but I can't remember who. If anyone can and share the post again I would be very grateful (and I will bookmark the page this time!).
Decided on a pj day today. Yesterday I did a lot (for me) so just going to take it easy today.0 -
Re the Amex small shop, how are we doing multiple transactions with the same business?
the terms are
"Save to Card to get a £5 statement credit when you spend £10+ in a single transaction in-store at a participating small business between 5-20 December 2015. Redeemable once per Card per business. "
are you using multiple cards? TIA
I have three different Amex cards so that is three per business - as does Mrs Anon. However, OneStop and some Spars (check the Shop Small website for which units) are included and these are classed as separate businesses for the purposes of this promotion (they are independent though branded the same).

For the Amex thing, you need to have an Amex credit or charge card. They run a range of promotions offering cashback on spend, some of which are being discussed on here:
Spend £10, get £5 back in Superdrug
Spend £100, get £10 back in Argos
Importantly you have to opt in to each offer (either in your account or on their offers website) and some have a limited number available before it expires.
The current big promotion is Shop Small - basically encouraging people to shop in small local businesses - spend £10, get £5 back. Each business can only be used once, though some OneStop (convenience stores) and Spars are included and each of those is classed as a separate business so you can claim once each in those. Only those businesses that are included on their website are taking part in the promotion.

Guilty of that as well.:o
Are you using Chrome? If so, on the menu is 'History and recent tabs' - you should see it there. I usually have about 37 open at once and used the H and RT a lot.0 -
The max cavity kids toothpaste 50ml is £1 in asda so would be free on a BM shop
(the two 75ml ones are £2 in A so £1 after BM & cashback, same as the max white expert)
Next question - can adults use kids toothpaste?
Won't do any harm. Generally the fluoride content is lower, so the protection won't be as strong.Re the Amex small shop, how are we doing multiple transactions with the same business?

Yes. Some people seem to have a wallet full. I guess some outlets are not objecting to splitting transactions into units of £10 and turning a blind eye to people using spouse's credit cards.carolinabirichina wrote: »Coming out of lurkdom because I read about the Amex promotion and thought I would give it a go.
So, yesterday evening I planned my route for today to include 4 local shops all of which were listed on the Shop Small website. Before setting off, I thought I would just check that they all do actually take Amex so I phoned them only to find that 3 out of the 4 businesses DON'T take Amex! What's that about??? So I was pleased that I didn't waste petrol doing this but disappointed that I won't be able to take part in this promotion. The majority of local businesses taking part in this area seem to be hotels and restaurants which I don't have any need for.
I phoned Amex customer service to tell them about the 3 businesses and they said they would credit my account with £15 to compensate me for my time and trouble etc. Very pleased with their response and efficiency.
So just be aware if you are doing this that it might be best to phone around first to check that the shops do take amex before setting off on a wild goose chase!
I have encountered that in the past. I must say that I find Amex customer service better than most. Their fraud detection service is also very good.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Just to add for those considering getting an Amex card, it probably won't be delivered to you in time to take part in the small shop promotion this year. They have been running it every year for the last 3 (?) years, so it should be repeated next year.
Also some of the promotions are separate to the small shop deal and need to register your deal onto your card eg. £5 credit wys £10 a Post Office - that is valid to 31/12. They also have those sort of deals at various times during the year.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
