Good Morning!!
Hi again from a long time lurker!
Coming out of lurkdom because I read about the Amex promotion and thought I would give it a go.
So, yesterday evening I planned my route for today to include 4 local shops all of which were listed on the Shop Small website. Before setting off, I thought I would just check that they all do actually take Amex so I phoned them only to find that 3 out of the 4 businesses DON'T take Amex! What's that about??? So I was pleased that I didn't waste petrol doing this but disappointed that I won't be able to take part in this promotion. The majority of local businesses taking part in this area seem to be hotels and restaurants which I don't have any need for.
I phoned Amex customer service to tell them about the 3 businesses and they said they would credit my account with £15 to compensate me for my time and trouble etc. Very pleased with their response and efficiency.
So just be aware if you are doing this that it might be best to phone around first to check that the shops do take amex before setting off on a wild goose chase!0 -

a bloody long time I hope squills. I'm not on my deathbed although it feels like it some days. I made the decision to have a stem cell harvest for a future stem cell transplant that I will need. I might even be young enough to fit 2 stem cell transplants in, body permitting.
A lot of my negativity is coming from how gruelling the treatment is and getting my head around the fact I have something that is 'incurable' that messes with your head. it's only a word but it's a BIG word. My body has been letting me down as far as treatment is concerned but that should turn around soon. My drama queen tendencies don't help. I have moments of absolute hysteria......as my good friends on here will tell you.
Don't apologise for mentioning it. I wish more people would. I have a disease that no one has heard of. I've even talked to people who tell me they hope 'I'm better soon'. I was as ignorant as most up until recently but I'm quickly learning that blood/bone marrow cancers are around and they're relentless. So I'm afraid you'll have to put up with me for the foreseeable
Glad to hear it, want to read your books. Take care.nice n easy is my fave and just been trying age defy, although I think its for slightly older ladies lol as it has a serum to put on first for stubborn greys ...DIL is an ex hairdresser and said its for coarse, hard to colour hair so just the ordinary is ok for me. ......what colour are you ??
Havnt done my own hair for few years, so have no idea on which ones are good. At the moment I am brown. I was blonde few months back, wanted to go darker for winter as roots showing too quick:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
